I wonder if there is a problem in the manufacture of this product that some people think it is wonderful and a few of us think it is the worst iron ever. I have had my first one replaced with the same iron and the second is just as bad.
I found it heavy to use, it would not sit safely on the ironing board, the steam is useless. it has made me dread the ironing which I love doing. Sending it back.

The design of this iron is good, however it doesn't fit snug on the holder on an ironing board risking it falling off .
I thought spending a little more on a branded iron would be worthwhile but I've never used an iron that makes it so difficult to remove creases, I have to go over the creases many times.
I am disappointed with this item and wonder if a replacement could be offered or a contribution towards another model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Foxy2 good, efficient iron with great storage.
I thought the 'Easy Store' base was a great idea as I always have a trailing lead from the iron at the back of the cupboard which invariably ends up dropping on my foot as I drag it out! Ouch!
I also thought this base acted as a really solid stand when the iron was 'resting' during use.
The temperature gauge worked well.
The iron glided nicely over a range of fabrics and the water spray was plentiful and of good range.
My only negatives were
1. The water jug 'max' level in no way correlated with the iron maximum capacity. I think I had to refill the jug 3 times on initial use just to reach 3/4 water level.
2. During use, and although I hadn't overfilled the water, the water reservoir opening was constantly dripping water which ran straight down to the power cable. Slightly irritating and potentially hazardous.
Overall this is a good product.

The Russell Hobbs Easy Store Wrap and Clip Iron has a powerful steam flow with self clean feature, large water capacity and a clever cord wrap and store system.
I was excited to receive my new Easy Store Wrap and Clip iron. It arrived in a smart and attractive box and came with clear instructions although they were somewhat repetitive. The iron itself looked rather large and unwieldy and felt heavier than my previous iron but did look very smart and modern and I was impressed by the cord wrap and clip system. I thought a storage socket in the iron itself would have also been great as it would have meant that the plug would have been kept in place for even tidier storage!
After looking at the instructions and checking the features it all seemed straightforward although I did struggle to find the steam on/off button at first as it was concealed under the iron handle! I filled the water tank as instructed but because you have to fill it with the iron horizontal and then tip it vertically to check the water level, I found this rather annoying. It was also quite difficult to see the water level through the grey coloured window.
The temperature setting was fairly obvious as it is similar to other irons despite it being hard to see the mark for the temperature dial to line up with. The iron heated up very quickly – within seconds which was great as after doing an initial test at low temperature, I wanted to iron some cotton items on the highest setting.
The iron was comfortable to hold, the flex was adequate and although heavy to lift, the weight of the iron actually helped with the ironing process. The steam was powerful and the steam shot worked well. I was impressed that the water spray was quite accurate so I didn’t end up with water all over my carpet as with some irons!
Overall I enjoyed using the iron as it worked well and made a quick job of the ironing which I don’t particularly like! I think the position of the steam on/off slider being where it is means you have to peer underneath to check it but all of the faults would probably be ‘ironed out’ and less annoying once you had used it a few times! The iron is certainly great for the storage feature as it does stand tidily and securely on a shelf without any trailing wires – great idea! I would definitely recommend this product!

I really like this iron. I love the feature of the easy wrap cord which keeps it nice and tidy.
It is quite bulky at the end and very occasionally it gets in the way when you're ironing but I wouldn't let that put you off the iron.
The plate is super shiny and the iron glides like a dream.
It holds plenty of water for steaming.
Overall I think it looks nice and makes ironing easy and I would certainly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarah02 good steam iron with added storage benefits
when I first removed the iron from the box, I thought it looked quite large as it has a section on the bottom to store the cord around, however it isn't actually that much bigger than my standard Iron.
It performs well, and removed creases well from cotton to linen. However I do feel the steam and spray buttons on the top can be a little stiff, and feel almost sharp when pressed. It does feel heavier than a standard Iron but not drastically so, and I feel the benefits of being able to store the cord safely and neatly out weigh this disadvantage.
It does not fit very well in the Iron rest, but is more stable than a standard iron when sat upright.
Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend it
