Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor design and no rocket??? I am a big guardians of the galaxy fan, so I was really excited when I saw that these sets were coming out. I was immediately disappointed, however. The minifigures in the set are very poor representations of the people in the movie. Starlord and Gamora have the same torso and legs, Gamora's hair really doesn't fit her character, and Drax's body came smudged. The ship is much smaller than the earlier variant and doesn't have any "Iconic details" as described in the description. The Abilisk was by far the best part of this set. The opening mouth and moving tentacles were pretty cool. As for playability, the set has very little. You can really reenact the fight with the Abilisk as the Abilisk is not to scale with the other Minifigures. You can't reenact the stealing of the batteries and the ensuing chase either because this set DOESN"T COME WITH ROCKET! I think this is the biggest flaw with this set. There are obviously 5 main characters in Guardians of the Galaxy: Groot, Drax, Starlord, Gamora and ROCKET. Even if you have a rocket Minifigure from other Guardians sets, he doesn't fit in the ship with the other minifigures. So overall, don't get this set if you are a fan of Guardians or of lego as it is not fit for playing with or desplaying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing after Milano from first movie set I am a huge Guardians of the Galaxy fan and I bought all the sets from the first movie. I loved the Milano from the first movie. It was huge and detailed and fit all the Guardians in the ship comfortably! I was on the fence about buying a second set, but I thought I'd check it out and maybe combine the sets to make a bigger ship. The build itself was fun, but I don't think I've ever NOT had fun building a Lego set. I liked the Abelisk construction and it's a fun play feature. The mouth has some interesting build techniques. The tentacles are similar to the demon in the Dr Strange set. The Milano itself though, is tiny. I do like the brighter orange pieces and the minifigures are very nice as always, but I struggled to fit 4 minifigs in the cockpit. The wingtips are not as sturdy nor as fun to position as the first Milano set. And the ship overall is much smaller. It's a little more solid, but the first Milano is plenty "swooshable" and balanced for physical play. And as I've stated, the ship is smaller overall. That might be a plus for smaller hands to play with the ship and fly it into action.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fun I'm a huge lego fan and have many sets. I have never written a review before but felt I had to after I read some negative reviews for this set. All I will say is as a huge Lego fan and Guardians of the Galaxy fan this is a perfect set. It was fun to build and has some great minifigures. The set looks great when built and has some lively coloured bricks. Thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I AM GROOT I personally enjoyed and love this build. Yes there is a difference in size in comparison to the original Milano but I didn't mind because it wasn't exactly small either. For the price it was a great size actually and especially with all the characters ( mini baby Groot!!) the colour scheme is great and I love the fact that there is so much detail without overusing stickers. The only things that I thought let this set down a little was you cannot fit all the characters inside the Milano comfortably and the front section of the wings (with the 'Milano' sticker on) were very delicate. You would have to be careful with that part if it were something someone was getting for play use. If it's for display purposes (like for me) then these two reasons aren't too much of an issue and doesn't change my opinion on how much I like this set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protect the batteries... Usual thing for me is to buy the set for the figures. Ship and creature is are cool. So I'm gonna simplify this as bets as possible. Pros: - color scheme, definite improvement over the previous version. - different minifigure prints and style from the previous Milano set. - new building pieces - creature is simple yet playable - Baby Groot with a speaker. Cons: - price I felt was a little much. 4 minfigures does help to compensate it thou. - ship size. Kinda insults the previous Milano set. - no place to store figure weapons or star lords helmet. I would still suggest adding it to your collection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A downgrade Overall recommendation; The Milano Vs The Abelisk is an interesting set that sadly fails to be worth the price. Its most interesting features are with the smaller build and the figures are worse than the last movie (other than Nebula) It took longer than i expected to build the set primarily because the build felt 'wrong' in a way that made me feel like they'd ran out of money and cut off half the ship. After i finished i ended up taking it apart and using the parts to make a more accurate 2014 Milano. I recommend getting '76021: The Milano Spaceship Rescue' instead of this set, its a better build, its got better figures and its more fun to build and play (other than lacking the Abelisk) Abelisk; The Abelisk is a nice scaled down representation of the movie version that looks good with or without stickers. It mouth opens and kids will spend quite a lot of time playing with the spinning feature or moving the tentacles to recreate movie scenes. It is easily the best part of this set. Milano; The Milano is a shrunken down version of the '2014 Milano' with push to shoot missiles and push to drop lego pieces. It cannot fit more than four figures and cannot easily be modded to fit more. It lacks any sort of back compartment and the figures included only just fit inside (noticeably you do not have room for the other Guardians Of The Galaxy team; Rocket Raccoon, Yondu or Mantis) Figures; - Drax returns with his fully printed look, however the main torso looks smudged and badly printed and does not match or look better than the thin detailed lines of the original (Or even his head and arms) - Gamora and Starlord are bland using the same torso and leg piece (In the previous Milano they had gender specific costumes) - Nebula is the best figure having better colouration than before. The torso piece is actually a damaged version of her previous outfit which is great for replicating battle scenes. I'd recommend switching her legs with Drax to get a more 'complete' looking figure. - Groot is ok, the new mold is nice and the printing variant is alright.
