LEGO City - Ambulance Helicopter - 60179 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! Another Medical Set This set is fun to just hold in your hands. I got this so whenever someone gets hurt in a stop-motion, I have a helicopter to fly them out. I really like the two EMT figures. Overall good set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Set I purchased this set shortly after buying the Lego City Hospital set 60204. The shaping is fairly plain towards the front, using a canopy piece we've seen many times before, but I like how the back section was built up with an opening hatch. There's enough space to hold the patient on the stretcher laying down, and the medical detail inside is fine. I also like the folding seats that can accommodate more minifigs on the sides. Overall a well done set with fairly basic, but fun play opportunities. Goes well with the Hospital set.

He was so excited to get it he built it in 1 hr .Legos are always fun to build and fun to play with, we also bought a “Who is it game” and the whole family spent hours playing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set, our son loves this helicopter. Great set, our son loves this helicopter more than any other helicopter toys, everything about it feels right, the scale, the look, the level of detail, etc, rotor is large and its mass allows it to spin longer if you spin it with your hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost got it.... As an EMS provider, I was thrilled to see an EMS “vehicle” as there have been pleanty of police and fire sets over the years. This set does a great job recreating a medivac helicopter and I like the coloring. Most are usually just displayed in a red/white scheme. The yellow in this set makes it pop. I’m hoping there will be s future set with a more “true to life” ambulance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad design I was excited about this set. Not your typical fire/ems helo whose design was getting rather repetitive. A different color scheme, skis, and a long sleek looking design was refreshing. I was disappointed to find that the Medic clearly does not fit in the rear compartment. There is a space that looks like she should be able to sit but there is no way there is enough height, even if you take the helo apart and try to build her in. None of the pictures show how she is supposed to ride in the model either so I believe it went into production knowing this. Just not what I would expect from a lego set. Usually attention to detail is far better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We need to talk about your female faces, Lego. When the first official pictures of this set surfaced the web, I was vaguely excited for the Ambulence Helicopter. I love snow boarding and I was happy with the inclusion of the snowboarder as a patient because I didn't have one. Also the Helicopter is actually quite different from the standard Lego City helicopters I am so sick of. The color scheme for the Helicopter is rather unique, especially considering it's an ambulance related vehicle (who's color scheme is usually red and white). Yeah so far the experience was pretty good. And if it weren't for the fact that the female minifigure ruined the experience I would have given this a perfect review. I am so sick of this generic smile appearing on every female minifigure face. This first began to irk me when the same face was used for the 21310 Ideas set: The Old Fishing Store. Every male minifigure in that set had a unique face that distinguished them from the rest. They had varied mouths, beards, eyebrows, etc. However the only female minifigure was stuck with the same old generic smiley, just like every other female Minifigure. It is now 2018 and this trend is still continuing. I get that it's hard to make female designs distinguishable while still looking pretty, however this can still be achieved as proven by the Lego Minifigure series, Creator lines, and action themed City sets. Even still, without the different colored lipstick I would have a hard time differentiating one figure with the other. But I still prefer this over the other option. I am eternally greatful more female Minifigures are appearing in Lego sets nowadays. 2015 and beyond was a turning point in diversity and I hope it continues beyondward. I love Lego and I hope it continues to create diverse Lego sets along with their Minifigures. I hope in the future female minifigures will have diverse faces.
