Why we love this

Construct a LEGO® brick model of one of the most significant architectural icons of the 20th century. Located in New York City, the internationally renowned Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum® is hailed as one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest achievements.

The building was commissioned in 1943, and on October 21, 1959, Wright's masterpiece was opened to the public, gaining immediate recognition as an architectural landmark. This detailed LEGO model focuses on the building's smoothed concrete facade with its distinctive curves and lines, and features its famous ‘inverted-ziggurat’ rotunda and 8-story annex tower.

The Guggenheim’s iconic sign, recreated in a similar typeface, and a section of New York City’s 5th Avenue Museum Mile with its signature yellow cabs complete the model, capturing the essence of this magnificent structure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy build This was an easy build with easy to follow instructions. Like the information about the museum that comes with instructions. The museum building is very interesting in structure. The smoke colored pieces really added to the build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another amazing set, love it! This set is stunning, another set as unique as Falling Water, same architect, so amazing. I put this set together not expecting much, I was so wrong. This is worth the time. Whoever designed it in LEGO, you did great! My only complaint was the box was messed up causing parts to fall out. It is on display with some Technic planes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very detailed model I'm a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, so I had to purchase this set. It's so detailed and it has a satisfying heft to it. I love displaying it, and I love the way they rendered the Siegel Tower addition too, it was fun to build, even if straightening up the tiles was very tedious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, But Amazing!! First off, It is smaller than i expected it to be, but considering how much work has been put into it, and how beautiful it looks when you have finished it, that is not an issue. This is my first Architecture set, and I was not disappointed, it is easily my favourite lego set! It just looks like it is not LEGO, which is the greatest compliment i can give. It looks like you brought a model from the Museum itself! That's how great this item looks! The build itself, was pretty easy until you got to the big wall at the back of the museum itself, it wasn't that it was hard, The depth perception was an issue for me in the booklet, I was placing blocks either too far across or not far enough across, but that is not an issue everyone would have. The main attraction is obviously the White Circular gargantuan Vortex. It looks sensational. Even if it was a bit repetitive, having to do the same thing several times! It's burned into my brain how to build that now it seems. I buy lego for the thrill of building, more than the joy of playing, and this item, for me is perfect!! So if you're after a set that, you can take your time with, and just get lost in building. Then this is for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Re-entering in style This was my first set since building and playing Lego when I was a kid. The moment I opened the box I inmediatly got overwhelmed by nostalgic feelings. I couldn’t stop building until the set was finished. I was pleasantly surprised by the detailing and the way the building was constructed. I don’t think it’s a difficult set to built, the only struggle was aligning all the 1 by 1 tiles of the building in the back. But once finished, very rewarding. Hopefully my wife lets me display it for longer then a couple of days:-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fifth Avenue, First Class! This is a superb Lego set. Building it was a bit of a challenge as there are so many small parts and unless totally concentrating, easy to make a mistake. The final result is very satisfying, a beautiful building. If I were to make any improvements, one would be the roof which in the model is a solid colour whereas the actual building has a transparent one. I imagine Lego opted for the solid colour to hide the interior. On the plus side, the museum name is on printed elements. It would have been a disappointment had they been on stickers. On mine the lettering is not parallel but that's a minor quibble. It is a bit too expensive but that seems to be the way for the Architecture series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Upgrade Nice upgrade from the earlier version. Captures spirit of the building and the architect's vision. Ideal size for a builidng in this series. Detail without reaching a level of repetitiveness and boredom.
