Our customers say

Philips BT7202 Vacuum Beard Trimmer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Backwards step The product looks good, feels good in hand, and performs well. Unfortunately it is poorly designed for purpose. The vacuum chamber that fills with hair should be cleaned every shave. Fine. Except the two parts, comb and cutter, you have to remove are so delicately designed and made of flimsy plastic. They just break. The comb element is fiddly to put on and has two very thin and weak legs that it attaches with. The cutter element has two plastic legs that clip in under tension. What does this mean. Well after six months of using twice a week, it's broken. The legs of the cutter have given up, not through mis use, just from being removed to clean the unit and then replaced. Plastic fatigue. This was not an issue on the earlier model that lasted a couple of years until the battery life degraded. This product is so flimsy. Philips offer a 24 month warranty and I am about to try it out. I suspect I will make use of it multiple times over the life of the product. It's a good shaver but is too delicate to last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very poor This is basically a sub-average trimmer with a vacuum system that does not work as expected. About half of my trimmed beard will not get sucked. Cleaning it is really hard too because the hair chamber does not come out (very bad design). The construction is a bit flimsy and not on pair with other similar products. I was expecting much more from a Philips device. Would not recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average at trimming and vacuuming I'll start with the basics: it doesn't trim as well as I would have expected, I still need to have a handful of goes to achieve a consistent trim, the same as much cheaper trimmers I have owned in the past. It's also not easy to trim edges as the front of the trimmer has quite a big lip, so sideburns take a while to get right as you can't judge the cutting area. It's quite big so it's not the easiest to wield around the face compared to other more ergonomically designed trimmers. For the vacuum feature: there is less mess, however the fact is there is still mess. I used to stand in the shower or lean over the bath to trim, I will still have to do that as there is still enough mess to have to do this. I understand 100% less mess is not expected, but there is quite a bit of mess, enough to make me trim the same as I used to with previous trimmers. I will be returning this trimmer and buying a cheaper one that cuts better and is easier to hold, and will continue to put up with mess until there is a suitable product on the market to deal with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used a few times now useless Works wonderfully for the minor number of times I used it. However after only using it a few times it is now completely unable to charge rendering it useless. The only way it will charge is if you, with much force, push the charging cable into the unit itself. As soon as you stop forcing the charger into the device it will stop charging. Not being able to now find the receipt for the warranty I am now down a decent sum of money thanks to the abhorrent design of the product. Will stay away from Philips in the future

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Trimming perfect and loved it how collect hairs but not 100% satisfies as still little messy hairs here and there and thats the reason behind the 4 stars
Date published: 2017-12-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stubble catcher Not really happy as it says catches up to 90% hairs in vacuum but to be honest doesn't even catch 20%, overall it's ok but for price we paying it should catch 90% as it says on description
