Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream Purchase I've been trying to decide for a while on buying a big screen tv and after a lot of internet searching found this tv at such an excellent price that I made my mind up to go for it! On arrival it was nice and easy to set up, picture quality and sound is excellent and I'm very pleased. I would also like to say that my delivery arrived before the time given and there was great communication from Asda and the courier. Only thing that could have been mentioned was if a centre stand for the tv was a preferred option and if it was available to purchase. Overall a very happy customer!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be Aware I purchased this TV to watch American Football, using Game Pass in the browser. It was great for 5 minutes and then it locks up. George technical support were surprised I could watch anything, as the browser is only intended for "basic stuff" There is no support for a flash animation - he said. While it is obviously a software problem there was no interest in getting it updated. So for my purposes it was useless. That apart, it has a great picture and connecting the computer to the hdmi port allows me to watch - but with a 36inch picture which is galling. I had a number of other niggles in that the controller is not particularly intuitive - the number of times I have hit the exit button when trying to navigate using direction buttons. Very annoying when you are 7 steps down in a series of menus and have to start again. Programme guide has a permanant instruction set that comes up every time you want to use it and when you click on a listing the first option is for more information - you need to scroll down to actually get and watch the programme. At least i have learnt what to ask about when I try to get a TV that will do what I want it to do. If you just want to watch TV, playback iplayer etc or look at YouTube or the apps they choose for you it is probably quite a good TV.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good item at reasonable cost The polaroid 55" television gives a really sharp viewing experience. It is fitted with enough ports for most applications. The television is thin and neat with the viewing area taking up the full size.On the down side, the audio quality is only average and when connected to my polaroid sound bar the sound is out of sinc withe the picture so you have a choice of switching off the soundbar and only using the television audio. This detracts from overall enjoyment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wont get a better 55inch 4k TV at this price I use this TV for gaming. I was skeptical it would be any good as it is a budget range set. However to my suprise it was extremely good at displaying both fast paced and slower titles directly from my PC through HDMI in full 4K. Choosing "enhanced" mode in the source menu allowed full 4:4:4 chroma 8 bit colour for accurate colour reproduction in 4K. Lower Chroma values (such as 4:2:0) can be a problem if you are using it as a PC monitor, although not an issue for general TV and Blu-Ray viewing. Coming to sound, yes generally speaking no TV has brilliant sound however the provided subwoofer channel really beefs it up if you add a powered subwoofer and the high range speakers were adequate for the job. The menu is easy to navigate and use with the provided remote. The set is also suprisingly light, weighing less than my older and smaller flat screen. This was a godsend manouevering the set up the awkward stairs to my flat! This is a steal for the price. Recommended!

Hi there, I think with these TVs the bluetooth option is listed as audio link and should be somewhere in the sound menu.

what is the difference between series 3 and series 6?

Asked by: mickyv
Hello, The Polaroid Series 3 TV's are your standard Smart TV's where as Series 6 tend to be a little more high tech. However this really does vary across different models. It's down to the specifications and could be anything from screen size, Freeview Play features, UHD or 4K compatibilites. Best thing to do is compare the specs. Hope this helps? :)

Celebrating 80 Years

History of Polaroid

  • Where it All Began

Our story begins with Edwin H. Land, the founder of Polaroid. On September 13, 1927, Land formed the Polaroid Corporation to develop the field of light polarization, the technology still used today in products like televisions, digital cameras, and sunglasses.
  • Origin of Instant

On November 26, 1948, the first Land instant camera was sold for $89.95 at Jordan Marsh department stores in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Meet the Swinger

The stylish and low-priced Polaroid Swinger camera was released and was extremely successful with a younger generation. The catchy "Meet the Swinger" jingle helped make the camera a household name.

  • Photos in One Step

The Polaroid OneStep Land camera debuted. With the iconic Polaroid Color Spectrum and red shutter button, this inexpensive, fixed-focus camera made photography accessible and easy.
  • The Original is Back

Today we celebrate our heritage and bring it forward through our wide range of consumer electronics products. From instant cameras to 4K televisions, to apparel and 3D technology, we are commited to delivering instant gratification to all.
