Useless purchaseI have several food processors/choppers and wanted something smaller to sit on my work surface. This item is dreadful - it is difficult to get the bowl on and off and you risk cutting your fingers on the sharp rim of the bowl. It takes brute force to remove the bowl. You have to cut the food up into very small pieces and the quantity you can chop is very small. It has to be done in several small batches. I am only talking about onions/peppers etc. as I wouldn't dream about trying to chop large items/quantities.
The most annoying thing is that the switch does not always work. It is obviously faulty. The first time I used it I thought it was because it was new but no matter how many times to button is pressed you may only get one short burst of power. The second and last time I used it the same thing happened. It is therefore back in its box and ready to be returned for a refund. I would not recommend this item and feel it is a complete waste of money.

unworthy of Russell HobbsI have been a keen cook and baker for 40plus years and have a pretty comprehensive collection of kitchen gadgets of all Kinds, and this product is quite possibly the most useless kitchen gadget I have ever purchased. The lid of the bowl is extraordinarily flimsy, but a great deal of force is needed when attempting to fit it into the groove on the main body of the machine - I imagine the lid would be the first component to be damaged or broken, The quantity that can be processed at any one time is absolutely tiny: it has just taken me 35minutes to process 40g of breadcrumbs (which haven't actually become crumbs yet!)
Having decided to return the product to the shop where I purchased it earlier this week, I now discover that the bowl is stuck fast in the slots in the base of the machine!
Come on, Russell Hobbs, this item doesn't even come close to your normal standards! I suggest you consider marketing it as ideal for pureeing cooked food for baby-feeding only - I can see it would probably be perfect for that - but for very little else!
