Why we love this

This is an attractive and well made British shed featuring high grade 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding and sturdy 34mm square framing.

The double doors in the 6' (1790mm) gable provide wide access for bicycles or lawn mowers. There is an opening, joinery made, window for ventilation. The shed is ideal for storing your gardening tools or even a as a small potting shed.

Both roof and floor are solid sheet OSB boards. The double doors are secured by a hasp and staple lock ready for your own padlock.

The shed is dip treated with a preservative base coat ready for your own topcoat of paint or stain. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment.

For critical dimensions use the metric values; imperial dimensions are rounded for description only.

Our customers say

Fairwood 6 x 4 Double Door Shiplap Shed is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for! Instructions could have been much clearer. It's cheap wood. Should have paid a bit more for better quality. Wouldn't buy this item again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice size shed I haven't actually put this shed up yet as weather hasn't really been on my side but seems solid enough only time will tell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from when funds are low I hadn't got much money to spend, so for me this shed was ok.It is poor quality from Shire Garden Buildings, but does the job for the time being.Felting very thin, will need upgrading next year.Instructions were very poor, but I had 2 professional to put it up in just over 4 hours, with the need for alterations on the way.If you have more money choose a better quality shed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shed barely ok, but instructions are a nightmare. I have put up sheds before without problems but the instructions for the assembly of this shed were very bad. It looked like the instructions had been badly translated into English from a different language. Fortunately i treated the shed with preserver before i even started because the very last written instruction was to treat the underside of the shed's base with "At least 2 coats of wood preserver". Not very easy to turn the shed over and do this! I had to make a lot of adjustments to get the locks to fit etc as the screws supplied were too big and the fitting positions of the bolts had only thin wood that i needed to re-inforce. Only just enough roof felt with no overlap at front and back of shed. Floor joists very flimsy 40mm square and i replaced these with struts more than double the size for better clearance. The shiplab timber walls are ok, but the boards for roof and floor are cheap compact woodchip style boards. If i had time i would have replaced these with plywood. Roof securing instructions non-existent, "Secure top roof struts together with the long screws". These were not long enough. I also secured the roof in place at many other points which were not listed in the instructions. Wish i had spent double the money on a better quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little shed once built Being shiplap makes it a much stronger shed and definitely worth paying a bit more for than overlap. Double doors make really easy access. Only downside was the construction. We had a builder errect the shed and he had considerable trouble fitting the doors and window.
