    Description

The tommee tippee closer to nature video sensor pad monitor gives you ultimate peace of mind at sleep time by monitoring your baby's movement and sound, whilst allowing you to see the baby at all times through the infrared night vision camera.

A key feature is the unique senor pad, designed to sit under the baby's cot mattress, which sounds an alarm if no movement has been detected after 20 seconds.

Once baby can move freely around the cot - the sensor pad can be removed to operate with all the other features.

Intuitively simple to set-up and beautifully styled to compliment any nursery.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent monitor We have only had this monitor a few nights but already I love it. I had been forever googling and comparing monitors unable to decide on one, when I came accross this one. I havent seen any others that include video and sensor pad, and had been torn between which to choose. This is the perfect solution, and works really well. Initially saw it on another website, but found it cheaper here. Excellent value. Can be used with or without sensor pad. I was worried the range wouldnt work as we live in a three storey house, but the connection is excellent. Easy to set up and use immediately. The nightlight is not particularly good, but not a feature that would influence my purchase. The video quality is good and night vision is excellent. The only thing I would suggest changing is adding the ability to turn off the sensor pad at the baby unit without it triggering the parent unit. If I have forgotten to turn the parent unit off before removing baby from his cot it will beep. The parent unit will also beep if the sensor pad is turned off at the baby unit. This can be annoying if it has been left in another room (next to sleeping partner). 20 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best purchase Excellent quality, very easy to set up and has all the features that I wanted in a monitor but couldn't find in other models. Although slightly more expensive its worth every penny for the peace of mind. Would definitely recommend. 15 May 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Peace of mind After purchasing a motorola video monitor that failed to work, and seeing this one for half price in the asda baby event, I decided to go for it. So glad I did. It has a clear picture night and day and I can zoom in and pan around the picture for extra peace of mind. I've not used the sensor mat yet (you are able to use one without the other) so can't comment on that, but would definitely recommend the video. 02 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really pleased Really pleased with this monitor. Thought about buying for ages as we already had one but so glad we went for it, it's great to be able to see whether 18month old is actually upset or just crying in sleep and very cute to watch him talking to his teddies! Can't comment on the sensor pad as not needed just now but definitely recommend :) 29 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Complete peace of mind This is an amazing product, I brought this as my child has possible sleep apnoea, I find the tick sound reassuring. I can now sleep at night knowing the alarm will alert me to any problems quickly. Great for peace of mind. Would highly recommend. Asda brilliant service and great price! 11 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for first time parents As a first time mum I was so nervous when it came to putting our son to bed in his mosses basket and felt the need to sit up and constantly watch him! Now with the sensor mat I have peace of mind and have managed to sleep well considering I'm a first time mum! 28 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ***** 5 stars This is just what we was looking for and we looked everywhere then when we found it in asda for half price it was amazing!!! :))) 11 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the baby even works on adults We bought this monitor in time for our daughters pending baby arrival. But being doting grandparents we tested it out to make sure it worked. So my wife made goo goo noises upstairs pulled a funny face and I picked it all up downstairs. Excellent. Decided not to test drive the baby movement mat, thought it might be weird. Great value for money. 02 September 2014

Yes you can, the camera is socket only but the receiver is charged up so you can take it around with you....or you can leave it plugged in if you like.

    Answer:
It plugs in, we leave the one in baby's room plugged in at all times and take parent unit downstairs then just plug it on to charge when we go to bed. Think it may be possible to use on batteries too but not 100% sure
