I like this set, but I don't necessarily love it.
The set itself is a turbolaser. (To my knowledge the first ever lego turbolaser) The scale is obviously wrong, but for a $13 set, I won't hold that against it. I like the play features like the 360 degree spin, the actual firing stud shooter, and the raising and lowering laser to help with aiming. The storage compartment and the computer panel are nice touches.
The minifigure list is what's hindering this set from being great. One crew member would be cool, but having 2 feels like too many. The crew member with the open helmet with the first order logo print is exclusive to this set however, and that's always nice. The 2 stormtroopers are great! You can never go wrong with a good old normal first order stormtrooper, and the other one (heavy vest) is also exclusive to this set.
Altogether, it's a good set and I recommend it, but it isn't my favorite because of the minifigure lineup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lincoln STAR WARS!!!
If you like the First Order, get this set. The only complaint about it is that instead of the officer there should have been another normal First Order Stormtrooper. This is a good set but not that good for army building. I am waiting until the 8th Star Wars Movie is released because they might make a battle pack with more stormroopers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Zenlove Good Battle Pack, So-so Minifigures
I'll start by saying that for the target audience (children), this is a good battle pack. I cant really say anything about the set because its so basic, but that doesn't matter because the goal of a battle pack isn't to provide a extremely interesting build. Parents, if you buy this along with an opposing battle pack, I can only imagine your child will have a blast. Kids love minifigures, and having 8 to fight against each other is very fun, plus you get a little build to go with each side. Outstanding value, too, even in Canada where battle packs are 16 dollars, its still a good deal. I value minifigures at around 4 dollars each, so you're basically getting 80-120 pieces for free (depending on the battle pack). So in conclusion, this is great for kids.
However, for older fans of LEGO, this set is a little disappointing. Why, you ask? The problem is the minifigure selection. LEGO, please know this. Older fans of LEGO and even some kids buy battle packs to build armies, whether it be Stormtrooper or Rebel armies, and because of that, we want Rebels and Stormtroopers! You only give us 2 in this set. If I were to make this set, I would change the minifigures, and instead include 2 regular Stormtroopers, 1 Stormtrooper commander and 1 Heavy Trooper. If the set came with those minifigures, this would be a 5 star set.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Legomaster44 A "okay" set...
I try to make all my Lego reviews focus only on good things, like my review on the Millenium Falcon Force Awakens set. (Not much cons.) I think this review deserved mentioning cons though. This is set is somewhat boring, I love the minifigures, and they fit my Star Wars collection well, I had no First Order Stormtroopers so I appreciate this set for giving me a couple without having to buy something like Maz's castle. However, the reason I found it boring is because the blaster thing is hardly ever used in play, and it seems annoying for the Resistance Battle Pack to come with lots of awesome stuff, more parts and everything, while this set, same price but hardly has anything but a hunk of a blaster. I like the set, and am wondering if I should get a 2nd one or even a 3rd, just for the First Order members. This is a "okay" set, and I would recommend it to a friend just for the minifigures. Overall, this is my review on this Battle Pack, it is not a favorite set, but still nice for a Battle Pack, I guess.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leverage101 A Good Go-Along
I bought this set for myself with a gift card at Target. I decided to buy this set, (I got two of them total) to go along with the First Order Transporter. I enjoy having a Stormtrooper commander, but why only one regular trooper? I think it should have been two, and maybe one less crew/technician. Since I got two sets, I switched the technician's and crew's face on the second set, so it's a bit different! Depending where you get it, the price is okay, easy to build (I built the second one without instructions, it's so easy) so I guess I'd recommend it to a friend. One recommendation: if you get the First Order Transporter, use the crew as pilot and gunners for the transporter, rather than waste your stormtroppers on it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by FrankieP Perhaps you should consider using a clone army...
I'm reviewing from my parents account as I'm too young, so here goes another review...
This set is small, and I think the price is quite high for something this small. £12 for a cannon and four minifigs?! It's kinda pricey, don't you think? If I were LEGO I'd have this set £7.99 or £8.99.
Anyway, I'll stop moaning about the price and get on with the set. The cannon itself is good, and a control panel and ammo storage fold down from the sides, which is a nice touch. The top swivels and it's one of those push blasters that you can lever up and down. It's a cool little compact cannon, but I think it could have been taller to look a little more realistic, as it's not much taller than the minifigures. It's very sturdy, and I gave it to my 1 and 1/2 year old cousin to play with and it didn't break, so it's definitely a good build.
Onto the minifigs. The First Order crew member is okay, with a nice hat but a plain body, and he shares the same torso and leg pieces as the technician. Surely they'd be different?! The technician has a cool helmet with a face underneath that's different to all the other minifigs in the set and reinforces the fact that most of the First Order troops were snatched from their families when they were young. However, the stormtroopers disappoint in the head area. They have CLONE HEADS. Honestly LEGO, you made the effort to give the technician a different face, and we know that they WEREN'T clones, so why give them clone faces? Admittedly, you can't see it under their helmets, but you'd think if you were gonna give them the same face you'd give them a face different to that of the head used in practically every clone/stormtrooper so far in LEGO Star Wars history? Apart from that, the stormtroopers are epic. They have two different printings on their torsos, one with ammo and one just with armour. The printing is excellent, and it's really detailed for a small set. The helmets look really good, and I am really pleased with the minifigs.
If you want just a load of new stormtroopers and First Order people I would recommend this set, and I got it for my friend as a gift because it's cheap and he likes Star Wars villains. It's small, cheap and well built with good minifigs, so I'd say buy this set and the resistance pack for a mini battle and have fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by kusze Overall pretty nice, however some issues
A decent set by Lego. Let's start with the figures:
First order trooper: As usual a great figure, the helmet, torso, and leg printing are flawless. I just love the figure
Heavy ammo first order trooper: The print on the torso is amazing, with all the cool ammo pouches on it. However, the legs and the helmet are the same as the first order trooper, just letting you know.
First order technician: Nice molded helmet piece and I like the first order logo printed on his helmet.
First order crew: The helmet is really weird, however, the torso and pants are the exact same as the First order technician.
The cannon in itself is a very easy and basic build. I bought a couple of these battle packs and after the first one, I could build the second without looking at the instructions. The nice control panel and storage flaps that fold down are nice touches. And the stud shooter cannon on the top is cool. Overall a basic but pretty good little cannon.
+Assortment of figures
+Easy and basic build
+Good army builder
+I think there should have been another first order trooper instead of the first order crew. Honestly, we see the trooper's so much more than the crew with the really weird helmets.
+The price value 88 pieces for 13$ is very pricey. Compare this to the resistance battle pack which has 112 pieces for 13$. Just putting that difference out there.
Overall a pretty good set, that is pretty good for army building and recreating the first order army.
