Rated 4 out of 5 by Star Wars This didn't take long to put together and it's very fun to play with! 10 September 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great small set Now I had not gotten any resistance troopers until this set and they look great. Lots of detail, good size and value. Can go over most surfaces with ease. Ok, pros Great figures (like the trooper with darker printing the best) Good size speeder, good shaping, with great ideas incorporated into it More GUNS!!!!!!!!!! with studs!!!! Nice cannon on top Cons Cannon carnt rotate properly Cannon oporator can't hold on to the end of the cannon Not enough seats Driver can't hold on to the control stick All in all a really, really good setset 08 August 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice battle pack This is a good set to get to have a few extra rebel troops and mix with other sets, like poe's x-wing fighter. The helmets are cool although I would rather blasters than stud shooters. The speeder is nice and I look forward to more sets like this! 22 July 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better of the two TFA battle packs LEGO strikes back with a great Star Wars The Force Awakens battle pack! This pack included 3 Resistance troopers, one Resistance officer, and a small speeder. This set is definitely worth getting at least once. When I first saw this set, what really stood out for me were the Resistance trooper helmets. Of course, I only saw pictures and the box print, so I waited until I got my hands on them in order to really judge them. And they are AMAZING! They are comprised of two pieces, the upper helmet part, molded with two different colors of plastic (transparent neon yellow and tan) and a lower tan jaw piece that swings up and down. The upper part has black and white-ish prints and very subtle molded details on the back. Likewise, the jaw piece has small molded details. When the jaw piece is up, the helmet looks a bit odd, but with it down, it looks incredible. Sometimes I remove the helmets from my minifigures just to admire how they look. The minifigure selection is great, with 3 Resistance troopers and a Resistance officer. The Resistance officer looks good with a small amount of printing (as much as was needed, since the movie costume isn't very detailed) and the same face as the death star gunners. Each Resistance trooper has a different head: a Lex Luthor head, a mustached head, and a clean-shaven head. There are actually two costumes: the Lex Luthor guy and the mustached guy have a light tan vest with an orange-tan bandolier, while the clean-shaven guy has tan vest (the same color as the awesome helmets) and a brown bandolier. The torsos have awesome detailed prints, but none of the minifigures have leg printing. Now onto the speeder. Usually I don't care about the extra builds in battle packs, since they are army builders, but I really like this model. It's pretty detailed, so good with display, but the play-ability will make kids love this too. It has space for only two minifigures (a pilot and a gunner), so the other two will either sit on the top of the engine turbines or just not be on the speeder at all. There are two transparent light blue cones on the nose that represent blasters, but what bugs me is the fact that they are on the left of the nose (when looking at it head-on), which makes the build asymmetrical- why, LEGO, why? I rebuilt the nose of my speeder to make the entire thing symmetrical, which I find looks better. The turbines look good, and I especially like the R-5 droid heads in light gray. Finally, there is a rotating cannon on the build with a stud shooter incorporated into it. I like stud shooters on vehicles, and this is great for younger children. It can easily be replaced with a 1 by 2 by 1 black or dark gray plate if it bugs you. The part about the turret that I don't like is that since the gun-shaped base on which the blaster is build has a diagonal handle, the gun can only shoot horizontally forward and backwards; any shot to the side would be oddly tilted up, so the entire speeder has to turn in order to shoot a target. So much for it being a turret; it works more like a stationary weapon emplacement. Unfortunately, as with all of the more modern battle packs, there are not blasters but stud shooters. Stud shooters look large and clumsy and so... un-Star Wars-like. I really wish LEGO would go back to their original gun molds which look epic (why do you think they haven't changed since 2007?!) So overall, I absolutely love this army builder set, with great minifigures and speeder but once again, LEGO has included handheld stud shooters instead of normal blasters. I really wish that would change. Still, though, this is a great set which is more worth getting than the First Order battle pack, so if you have a choice between the two, go for this one! 07 June 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really happy with this set! This is a great Battlepack! The Minifigures are always the main attraction of these sets, as Battlepacks are designed to amass an army. However, in many cases these sets will include a small vehicle or something of that nature to accompany the minifigures. The speeder in this set is actually a great addition and has some unique pieces that can be combined with a second one to build a larger speeder. Minifigs: This set has four figs; three Resistance Troopers and one Resistance officer from Star Wars, The Force Awakens. They are all very good looking and the helmets of the troopers have moving jaw-guards that add an interesting feature to the figure. The helmets also have a built in translucent-yellow visor that looks fantastic. Cons: This set is not without a con. The main disappointment with Lego's most recent battlepacks has been the absence of regular blasters. The new battlepacks all include new blasters, called stud-shooters, which can launch a small lego piece a good distance with good accuracy. It adds an appealing play feature that is most likely very popular with the younger fans. However, these stud-shooters are not the prettiest thing in the galaxy, and many, many collectors and teen lego fans miss the original medium blaster. When avid fans purchase more than one of these sets to construct their army, they are building an army without weapons, which can be frustrating. Lego could easily fix this divide by including alternate blasters as well as the stud-shooters. Pros: great minifigures, great price, great set! It is definitely worth it. 09 May 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Set This is a fun little set. I think the minifigures are good, but the stud shooters are kind of strange looking. The speeder itself is good, and I like how a minifigure can stand behind the gun. Pros: minifigures speeder Con: stud shooters 08 April 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Impressed This set is so fantastically done for its size. The land speeder looks great and you can squeeze all 4 mini-figures onto it if necessary. The mini-figure helmets have a transparent yellow eye guard somehow built in, which is really cool. Also these sets have no stickers which is always a plus to me. This set is so well done that it makes me really wish they would do non-Star Wars space sets again, because they are really hitting these set designs out of the part. You get a lot of bang for your buck here: a nice looking vehicle and four minifigs! 16 March 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by "Why does everyone want to go back to Jakku?!" This set was really nice overall. Although overall they were a bit plain, the mini-figure's designs were really unique and cool. The speeder looks really cool, when displayed. Again, overall, this is a really cool set. I would definitely recommend it to any Force Awakens fan. PROS -Looks exactly like the one briefly seen at the Resistance base on D'Qar -Includes 4 minifigures (but doesn't every battlepack include that many). -Resistance officer minifigure is really unique and cool. -The helmets on the Resistance Troopers are are really accurate. -Set looks really nice when completed and displayed. -Fun build. -Cheap price. -Larger than most LSW battle packs. -Goes great with the First Order Battlepack (75132). CONS -The cannon on the speeder is really hard to move with the minifigure stationed. -Too many small pieces (lost several - luckily found them). -The Resistance Trooper minifigures were a bit "plain." -The speeder model was a bit delicate. 14 March 2016
