Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality product at a bargain price This is the third FM Transmitter I've bought. The first (not from Asda and not this model) worked -- just about. The second (again, not from Asda and not this model) worked much better -- but only for a few days. The third, this one, worked straight out of the packet, and is still working -- and working well. Even when they did work, the two earlier transmitters I bought were pretty poor: broadcast power (volume) was low, while crackle factor (static, etc) was high. I was prepared to put up with that for so long as the things worked. But they gave up the ghost -- and I gave up trying. Then I got Spotify on my new Blackberry and, being a lover of music while I drive, I decided to try again so I could play tracks offline through my car stereo (which doesn't have an auxilliary input). I was absolutely delighted when I plugged it in and, with no adjustment whatsoever (other than to tune my car radio to the 87.5 frequency I'd chosen), the thing worked. It's easy to use, has decent power (with the volume turned to full on my Blackberry, the levels through my stereo are more than adequate, even at the high end!), and the clarity of transmission is astonishingly good -- akin to the best reception I get from, say, Radios 3 and 4. Plus, unlike the two other transmitters I tried, there's absolutely no interference with the transmission from the car when the unit's plugged into the cigarette lighter. Astoundingly, the unit's also managed to give interference-free transmission for the entire duration of my daily commute -- a journey which takes me through a fair number of intereference points, which the other transmitters I tried failed miserably to cope with. This isn't hi-fi, of course. But let's remember that FM was once considered the highpoint of broadcast sound. Certainly, until the day I get a car with an auxilliary socket in its stereo, I'll continue to use this product and, what's more, to appreciate it. Superb value for money, and very highly recommended. 13 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy Bought this as my previous fm transmitter for my iPhone drove me crazy with the interference. This doesn't pick up any & can use batteries leaving the in car power connector free for sat nav etc. Very impressed with the price too, have seen similar product for double the price. :D 13 September 2013
