Hi. We just bought this bbq instore and the middle pages (steps 5-8) of the enclosed assembly instructions booklet are blank. Are you able to e-mail us instructions so that we can finish putting it together? Thank you, Alison

Rated 4 out of 5 by Random44 A Great Product The Big American Grill is a quality product with many pleasing features. Its one drawback is the self-assembly stage. There are 21 steps in the assembly process and whilst the instructions are clear and each part is easily identifiable, construction does take a while. Once assembled the BBQ looks good and cooks well. The ability to raise or lower the charcoal to any height between the max and min gives good control of the cooking rate and the good size cooking area plus heating rack gives great flexibility. The split grilliing rack makes cleaning easier; the enamelled suface helps. In summary happy to recommend this product, provided you are handy with a screwdriver and spanner. 26 July 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fixit9660 Good with Reservations! I was looking for a good quality BBQ at a reasonable price, which I eventually got. I would say that the statement "some assembly required" would not apply here, more like "a lot of assembly required"! It took me a few hours to assemble, and I'm very technically competent! One of the parts had some bending damage (packaging good so I assume it occurred prior to packaging at factory?) which I managed to correct. It's also a lot bigger than I was expecting! The finished BBQ overall dimensions are 115cm W x 65cm D x 110cm H. I know it says "Big" in the title but from the cooking grill size given, I didn't think it would be THIS big! Overall I'm pleased with it, but with Reservations. 19 April 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gaz4d A Fantastic buy I have owned several BBQ's before - both gas and charcoal, portable and built-in. This is without doubt the best purchase of them all. Yes, it does come flat-packed - but after just moving house recently and built numerous flat-packs from a certain Swedish company - this is a breeze. All the nuts, screws, washers etc come on a blister pack - with each type individually numbered. The various parts are also itemised or embossed with which part they are on the building instructions. It took approx 1.5 hours to build - but was a pleasure building because the quality is fantastic. There are lots of nice touches to it, bottle opener, and bits of imitation chrome here and there. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. 23 May 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by gerkin1979 Love this! Bought this to keep hubby quiet during the bbq season as always complaining our old one wasn't good enough. This has definitely shut him up, the quality is excellent and once built it is very sturdy and looks really good. The only thing thats let it down is the door handle at the front to top up coals, which seems loose compaired to the rest of the build quality but other than that it's an excellent product. 10 April 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Joalem Monster BBQ, cracking quality! I don't like gas barbecues, if you're going to grill outdoors, it's gotta be over a charcoal fire. We searched local DIY stores, garden centres etc without being particularly impressed at what was offered - they all seem overpriced and a bit small for proper garden barbys. Enter the Big American Grill! I really liked the looks of this online, so we took a punt based on the good reviews and we are very glad we did! This is a very good quality product. There is a lot of assembly required, it basically comes as a flat pack and you have to assemble everything. The good news is that it fits very well. After initial assembly without even fully tightening up the screws, I checked the alignment with a spirit level and it was perfectly straight and level. There were a few bent corners on the firebox sides, but the metal is pliable enough to put right with a pair of household pliers. The overall quality is EXCELLENT. It is very sturdy when built, and all the moving parts, like the grill tray, have a solid and smooth feel to them. Unlike most "Made in China" supermarket stuff, this is good quality, even down to the screws and fixings. It's also massive. The grilling area is about the size of a broadsheet newspaper page - that's a LOT of burgers! The ventilation design is great - the charcoal base is also perforated all over with adjustable vents on both the firebox sides and the lid, so the whole cooking surface is useable rather than just the "hot spot" in the middle. The heat is adjusted by moving the fire closer to the grill surface, rather than the other way round; it has a lot of travel via a screw thread which allows fine adjustment rather than fixed positions. Only time will tell how durable this is in the long term, but as a product it is at least the equal of better known branded charcoal BBQ's and with the huge size and grilling area offered, it's fantastic value for money. Now all we need is a summer! 28 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Antiochian The Real Deal Having just moved over from the US I despaired of finding a smoker at a good price... and then I found this.... its is true it takes two hours to put together... otherwise its good... I think the grates should be cast-iron for the long term durability so we shall see how the wire ones last... the side table would be better with wooden slats than made of metal... the handle to open the lid should be wooden NOT metal.. doesnt conduct the heat if its wood... 14 May 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by ConnollysCrusaders Excellent BBQ Haven't used this yet, but it looks absolutely amazing. Bought in store and put together in about 90mins. Takes this long just because it is big. Regarding assembly I have had loads of BBQ's and this fits together the best any ever have!! No forcing parts together or holes not aligning up and all parts are very clearly labelled. Recommend highly!! 28 April 2012
