Rated 4 out of 5 by number100 good product
This product does what it says on the tin! It can be read in stones or kilo's and is accurate. The only little hitch is the description of how to take off the bottom feet to apply the feet for use on carpet. It tells you to take off the whole of the foot at the bottom of the scales, but they dont explain that foot section doesnt pull off. You need to scrape across the top of the foot that is at the bottom of the scales with your finger (as though you are rubbing something off the top of the foot) and then the small rubber disc comes away from the top of the foot, you can then you push on the carpet feet.

I was really on the fence with this one at first. After many years of having a standard white scale (that did lbs, stones and kg's) the button to switch these was much more accessible than it was/is on this glass one. This one the switch is underneath (you have to lift the scale up, but it still can be done). Because my long-lived - now out to pasture white scale is 'done' (it was so inconsistent I had to have a new one that read all three weights st/kg/lbs). I was really on the fence with this one, almost to be returned, but It's grown on me (Despite it being glass -which I don't care for really). But it's a keeper! it's very nice and has been very consistent! no problems whatsoever and very easy to use once you (or I) Get over 'previous scales'. And definitely a good price - I've checked on so many others by comparison. Good job.

Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent purchase
Both my wife and I had lost weight as a result of hip surgery, so I needed some means of monitoring our progress back to full health. These are small and fit well into our small bathroom. They appear to give accurate results, or as accurate as we require. There is a useful facility for switching from lbs and oz to kilos, which, given that the wife is "metricated" as a result of living and working in South Africa, saves me from doing complicated conversions!!

We just needed accurate bathroom scales with a clear readout. We preferred Salter as a trustworthy name with a good warranty.
These scales have a fairly small 'footprint', making them good to leave in position but maybe not ideal if you have size 10+ feet, are quite attractive but most importantly are easy to set up and use. Asda's price was significantly lower than any other supplier for the same or similar product making them very good value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PrincessShakira Fluctuating weights!
I recently purchased this based on the good reviews and price but as soon as I used it, I noticed fluctuations in readings. I
measured a minute or two apart in the same place (so flooring remained the same) and noticed a difference of up to a kilo!! I asked other members to also measure themselves and same thing happened, I even recorded weights on different types of flooring and kept getting a difficult reading each time! So I returned them

These bathroom scales are great, come with feet so you can use them on carpet or hard flooring, quite small so you can slot them away when not in use. Only thing i would note is that when you first stand on them the reading is usually high as it calibrates, but if you stand off it and back on again the reading is correct and always the same after that. Great value and has worked faultlessly so far (i have had them for a month).

I was after a set of bathroom scales to tell me how much I weigh, and these ones don't.
For the price, I wasn't expecting them to be incredibly accurate, but that was fine because I just wanted a set of basic scales. They bring up a different result every time I stand on them (bathroom solid wooden flooring), and can differ by anything plus or minus 3 pounds each time.

The scales seem accurate (which is the main criteria) but they aren't very sturdy and I'm a little nervous stepping on to them in case they tip. I'm also concerned that the glass platform might break but as they are designed to hold much heavier weights than me, they must have passed stress tests. Overall, you get what you pay for and these seem a decent, cheap choice.
