Why oh why does the shade of cream on this kettle not match the shade of cream on the toaster. I expected a brand such as RH to manage to colour match their range so green is not a green. Looks terrible together, and being returned.

I bought this kettle as I wanted a coloured kettle at a reasonable price. I had shopped around and discovered that ASDA had a special price promotion which helped me make up my mind.
I do like the shape of the kettle and the colour, it has a more traditional look which is good for a change.
The kettle is light weight and boils quickly without too much noise.
I do have a couple of gripes about it though - the water level indicator isn't very clear and I find that I have to tip the kettle backwards to check how much water is inside. I sometimes have a struggle to put the kettle back onto the base, this is a problem I have never encountered with my previous kettles.
Over all I am happy with the kettle and I hope to get many years usage out of it.

Nice looking kettle. Lid comes off easily for filling. The only problem with it, that you apparently get with many kettles, is the plastic-like taste on your tea. Very unpleasant. Googled a few suggestions from other people who advised putting 2tsps of bicarbonate in a full kettle, boiling, emptying it and re-boiling. Have done that twice. It is much better but not the cuppa we used to enjoy with the old kettle. Apparently, it is some kind of solvent they use in the manufacture. Hope it gets better!! Any other ideas?

I bought this cream kettle in January 2013, because I loved the look of it. However, compared to previous kettles, we found it very noisy - this got worse over the months, to the extent that it woke half the house up in the mornings! The water measure wasn't very clear either! I took it back to Asda today & changed it for another one exactly the same, to compare & to give it another try. It doesn't seem so loud, but it's early days - I'll pop back soon to let you know how it's going!

We bought this kettle as a set with the matching Heritage toaster...and within a week or two the toaster had failed, to be replaced by one made by Prestige (which is still giving good service). The kettle wasn't easy to clean and was ridiculously noisy; I generally didn't bother turning on the radio in the morning until after it had finished boiling because I wouldn't hear it anyway! Conversations had to be postponed until after the roaring had died down. The model's shape and the high position of the fill gauge means it takes a lot of water for a minimum fill, so all-in-all we had our issues with this good-looking kettle. Then, just outside of warranty, it blew and we've had to scrap it. Given this and the failure of the matching toaster, I would question R&H's reliability and certainly won't be choosing another of their appliances.

The Kettle is well made and quite attractive, it boils water quickly and the fill indicator means you only boil the amount you require.

This is a very good kettle. Boils very quickly.
Only thing to criticise is that when it is full of water it is very heavy and also it is very noisy when boiling.
