Rated 3 out of 5 by SmokerUK Good for intro to smoking First attempt at smoking so this smoker was picked first due to the price. For an upgright it's ok for the beginner who wants to give it a go before shelling out much more cash on the more expensive ones out there. A bit fiddly but good for starting out, not a model to buy for any planned 10 hour+ smoking attempts, but good for poultry and smaller cuts of meats. The main reason for this is it's difficult to access the water to top up once you start as there is no water access door, the only way is to lift off the whole top meaning you loose heat and smoke. Great as a regular grill bbq tho as well as smoking up to about 3 hrs. Tends to run at just under 250'F. 19 May 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by thewotz Excellent BBQ Smoker for the price We bought this BBQ smoker as we had been considering the expensive alternatives but weren't 100% sure of it was for us. We have smoked chicken, lamb shoulder and ribs so far and love it - it stays warm for hours and the food is so lovely. Very, very pleased with this for the price. 11 June 2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brootus poor design and quality having done a lot of research on smoking and having built a few basic smokers I bought this smoker as a gift. I may have bought one for myself so I assembled it to check design and quality, I was shocked by both. The coal pan and water pan are the same item, (obviously cheaper to manufacture) this gives 2 problems. The coal pan has no holes to allow air flow under the coals and it has no way to discard ash, using this smoker for any length of time will smother the coals with ash. The water pan is massive taking up nearly the whole diameter of the smoker. The middle shelf also sits directly onto the water pan, any food cooked on this will be effectively steamed. The worst design feature I found was there is no adjustable air flow, it has simply a ~4mm hole in the top for exhaust and the air intake is a massive 1-2” gap all the way around the bottom coal pan as the smoker has no bottom! Even the cheapest of kettle BBQs have adjustable air flow. Air flow is of massive importance for a smoker compared to a BBQ so I was gob smacked by this. The quality of the item I received was also very poor. The lower door was shockingly bad. It made no attempt to seal as was the wrong shape and the hinge/handle was very flimsy, I don’t think it would last more that a handful of uses. The lid I had also didn’t fit at all, it was a smaller diameter and basically sat right onto the top grill leaving a gap all the way around. (it fit perfectly onto the lower body section) All in all this is a very cheap smoker and you get what you pay for but truthfully I don’t think it is even worth the very low price. It was promptly returned for a refund. 17 June 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by inspector01 cheaper than some smokers this is cheeper than some smokers but not worth the money can be used a a bbq but more expencive than a cheep one of those, there are several mods you can make to the smoker as seen on the net which I have now done but still not happy with the performance. I suppose it is the old addage you get what you pay for if you want a smoker leave this alone . 22 July 2012
