Rated 1 out of 5 by No impressed I am currently at University and this product was bought for me last year to help with storage issues. I don't think this product is really suitable for any kind of use really as it was initially bought for some of my clothes but it couldn't even sustain holding them. After a year of balancing the drawers above one another I have now resorted to not using it at all because every time I open a drawer all the drawers beneath it collapse. I am getting a replacement next week and then these drawers are taking a well-deserved trip to the skip. They look snazzy, but really they are very small and not very durable at all. You get what you pay for I suppose. I hope this review helps. 08 May 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value for the price, poor delivery & comms The drawers themselves are of decent quality for the price. They're cheap enough for the kids rooms & if you Pinkgrip the joints when building, are sturdy enough to take a fair bit of stick which is ideal for a kids room. The delivery side of it needs sorting though. I ordered on Tuesday with a "before Saturday" delivery option which was confirmed on the confirmation email. However, it didn't even leave the warehouse until Saturday when I was emailed with the delivery option of before Thursday. After 3 phone calls, it arrived on Monday. Not much of a problem except we moved house on the Saturday so it was sent to the wrong house & 3 days late! 17 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by NOT ONLY SMART BUT GOOD LOOKING I have in separate orders purchased the Smart Chest of Drawers previously together with matching wardrobe(s) and whilst I did experience a little problem with my original order this time namely delay in delivery. However, the second set of the chest of drawers was with me within a couple of days. Therefore, excellent service and the Chest of Drawers for the price, have a clean finished lined and having carried out a thorough check, I am confident that in every aspect cannot be beaten by any other UK outlet for quality and price. Yes, an absolute bargain and they most definitely live up to their name SMART. Ps……and it is really fun making the flat pack up. 19 April 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Its cheap because it is small and poor quality I saw a four drawer chest in John Lewis for £75 and then found this and immediately bought it expecting it to be similar. Unfortunately the similarity only extends to the fact that it is also a chest of drawers. The quality of this chest is terrible. The bottom is flimsy and weak - it will barely handle a fully filled drawer. The size is also very small nor are the drawers deep enough. As if I didn't have enough reasons to return the drawer, I finally did return it when i found a number of pieces missing. Overall, the Asda Direct process and delivery were very efficient. Pity the product they stock is so shoddy. 17 April 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value The drawers came flat packed but my son found them easy to assemble. I think I might have struggled on my own. My son was pleased to find everything he needed in the pack including wood glue. Once assembled they look very smart and I was surprised how much this small, neat set of drawers holds. The handles are plastic but still look good. When assemled there is slight side to side movement of the drawers on the runners but not really a problem unless roughly handled. I would recommend you wipe out the drawers before use as I didn't and found items of clothing had a strong smell of sawdust after being in the drawers overnight. For the money these drawers are great and I am very pleased, they look good and are strong enough. 13 April 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 Suprisingly good! I bought three of these after seeing the price and also free delivery. Very easy to assemble, it took the first one an hour to put together, and the other two took half an hour each, Im suprised at how big the unit is, but am a bit dissapointed at how much space in each drawer for clothes. Nevertheless, i only use these drawers for a few clothes in each as i dont like congestion and they hold pretty well. The clothes i put in the drawers are clothes i dont usually wear on a frequent basis. I use the other drawers for bits and bobs, like my excess makeup, and spare wires etc and they are pretty spacious. As long as you dont overfill them, they do the job. they look very classy in my room. 13 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Surprisingly Good Purchased due to price as needed a few cabinets for baby clothes. The quality was better than expected and turned out to be a very study piece which was easy to assemble. Managed to assemble the 2nd in about 20 minutes! I can see this lasting far longer than I had budgeted for. 27 June 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by An UN-USEFUL Piece of Furniture! Put it together. Was very sturdy and really surprised.. Until the clothes went in. The draws fall off the runners constantly and I am only using them for newborn clothes. So it isn't even because the clothes are too heavy! I would recommend saving up as much as you can to get a decent set of draws. I'd only started using these properly after my baby was born and they broke before that!.. So go figure 27 December 2010
