Rated 1 out of 5 by Meepies Looks good but is dreadful quality I bought one of these and opted for home delivery. When the bread bin arrived, it had three small but annoying scratches on the lid. I returned it, was refunded, then ordered another one to be delivered to the store. I went to collect it and asked to check it first. Yep, the lid was scratched. The lady on the desk took me to see the one bread bin out of display. The paint on the inside was all chipped and very poor quality. I got a refund on the second bread bin and gave up. The paint obviously scratches and chips off very easy and I doubt it'd survive being washed. All other reviews say it looks great - it does, but the quality is awful. I am very disappointed in Asda. 14 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ulstergirl Designer look - Asda price ! I have been after a breadbin like this for ages but couldn't/wouldn't pay the extortionate prices some shops were asking. So happy when I saw this on Asda Direct I sent away for it immediately. I was not disappointed. It looks great in my retro style kitchen and holds a big sliced loaf and more. Brilliant price Asda - well done ! 23 October 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Enjay57 Nice to look at but has flaws This is a well made good looking bread bin in a lovely creamy shade and matches everything else perfectly. The only thing that lets it down is the fact that when you open it up and let the top back -if there is not enough weigth in the bin it will fall backwards unfortunately. Bread bins are usually placed against a wall etc, so when you want to do this you cannot as the wall will be in the way when you let it go.(Hope that makes sense to all of you).Fortunately it does not have the word BREAD on it., so I have decided to use it for other storage of biscuits and crackers etc as the bin is then not opened very often. On a daily basis this would drive you crazy. Now I can see why manufacturers made front opening bins for these reasons. 19 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by 17gables lovely breadbin The breadbin has a nice vintage look and holds more bread than the standard roll top bin. good value for money. 13 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by stan1238 Good purchase!! Good quality bread bin with plenty of room and a nice lid height which allows you to stack items above base level and still be able to close the lid securely. The only problem with it is the fact that the bin lid opens beyond the vertical and pushes the whole thing forward. A couple of small pieces of blu-tac solved this. 29 October 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vics30 Ab Fab! I was nervous of buying this online without actually seeing it first but I'm amazed. It's much cheaper than anything similar and is lovely. Everyone is commenting on it! It's probably not suitable for a larger family but for a couple it's great. 08 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by angusgirl Really love this! As others have said this is a great breadbin. It is big enough to hold a full loaf of bread, a six pack of rolls and 2 packs of pancakes - fantastic! 25 May 2013
