I bought this for my sons 7th birthday as he loves dressing up. As with all of the other dress up costumes I have purchased from asda, it's good quality at an excellent price. He absolutely loves the fact that the chest lights up. My only criticism of this particular costume is that the plastic mechanism that enables the chest to light up is just left dangling with the wires showing and sits on the should when dressed. This is a little uncomfortable and requires care when putting on and taking off. A cushioned pocket for it to hide in would have been a much better idea. However on the whole, it's a big hit.

This all in one costume is in my opinion at least as good as those available for £20+. The whole costume is soft, (no plastic muscles to crack) with the muscles being created through padding. The light feature is easy to switch on and switches off on a timer. With regard to fit I find this in keeping with other costumes from George, which I find generally on the small side. The age 5-6 costume fits my tallish four year old perfectly - no growing room in any direction! We now have 15 Star Wars / Super Hero costumes and I think this is probably the best value one that we have come across.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scratch75 took ages to find the light
Comes up quite small, my son is quite small for his age(6) so I should have gone for the 7/8 to get a bit more wear out of it. However this costume is reasonably priced (£2.50 less than another supermarket) and was bought for a superhero birthday party not to dress up all of the time. It hasn't been worn yet, so I can't comment on wear and tear. It took ages to find the button to switch the light on, which is over the other side to battery pack, this turns itself off after a couple of mins, annoying really.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jooolz77 Great at first, but now have problems.
My son loved this suit when he received it at Christmas, the fit is great and the outfit looked great on. My concern is that after wearing for just a handful of times the colour started to peel from the chest plate, now one month on a large amount of the colour has peeled off of the light plate leaving us with a patchy red and white area with the light in the middle. I have had suits from Asda in the past both Spiderman and Superman and both are still in fantastic condition even after a lot of wear, this is the only one I have been disappointed with.

a great item, hours of fun had with it. great value for the money. only down side is battery pack rests right on the collar bone and can become uncomfortable after a while and also the battery pack and light dose not de -tatch so the suit can be washed..

My son is a slim 6 yr old and we bought a 7-8 which fits him fine although a little long in length. The only thing that disappointed me was the light stopped working the same day we had the item and obviously we could change the batteries but..... Also the costume cannot be washed in the machine due to the battery compartment. Only our son has had a good play with this item we will have to cut the wires to wash it :-(

I love the styling of the suit, and my little boy was pleased as punch with it. There are two minor niggles; I think your sizing may be a bit off (he's 4 and tall for his age, but fits nicely into the 5-6 years size). Whilst the power cell lighting up in the chest is a great idea, sponge washing a suit like this as a result of the batteries and wiring is a bit impractical when this outfit is literally lived in by a little boy mad on Iron Man! Machine washing is a must for kids dressing up outfits.
