My 4.5 yr old needed new gutties (the scottish term for trainers for mucking about it) and as he already has boat sized feet that are bigger than his older brother I didnt want to spend a lot of money on something he'll grow out of quick. These are only £5 so if he dosnt get much wear out of them it's not much monetary loss.
But I was very impressed when they arrived. Proper padding, good sole that looks like it will last well ... he says "it's like walking on a cloud"
okay they are predominantly white and so far we havnt needed to clean them so cannot comment on that bit, but they feel solid enough to take a few cleans
definitely a good buy
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mummyrabbit Nice inexpensive trainers
Having trawled the internet for inexpensive trainers for my 4 yrs old's PE kit, found these on the George website. They are just right for him, a good fit, smart and tough enough for hard wear a couple of times a week. The price was fine too - so many other retailers only have very expensive trainers, which is both unaffordable for most people and unneccessary when the trainers are only for occasional use. Asda wins my custom again!

I bought these trainers for my son whose has started to walk but not yet independently. He still needed a pair of shoes but only measured a 3 1/2. The only pairs I could find in clarks were over £15 which was too expensive. I found these trainers on the george website and I was a bit dubious at first given the price but they are sturdy, lok good and can be tightened so they don't slip. They are just what I was looking for and support his ankle far better than the starter boots for babies plus in the rain they are much more water resistant.

Excellent price for these trainers! They're really well made and hard wearing.
Good strong velcro, easy for little hands and stays done up!
Perfect for school for PE.

Whenever my son outgrows his trainers I always buy these again in a bigger size or the blue/white/silver ones. My 3 year old likes them and can easily put them on & take them off himself. Brilliant value for money too. Don't hesitate!

I bought these for one of my 4 year old girl twins - we always buy the girl's version but this time they didn't have any in her size, but she was happy with these (thankfully!).
I've always been really impressed with the girl's version as they are very hardwearing, so I'm a bit surprised to find that she has nearly taken the toes out of these after about 8 weeks - her sister's ones (girl's version) are still looking new, and they don't do anything different in them (that I know of!), so I have marked them down for quality.
I always wash them in the machine and they come out looking like new and don't take long to dry - I wouldn't tumble dry them though just in case!
On the whole, good value for money, and they look just as good as "posh" ones!
Rated 5 out of 5 by SusieBoo32 Great everyday trainers
Bought these trainers for my 5 year old son for everyday use. He loves them! They are durable, great value and according to my son, very comfortable!!
As with all trainers, they do get dirty quite easily (and shows up because they are white/silver) but they clean up really well, just by using a few baby wipes!
Very pleased with purchase and would recommend, especially as they are reasonably priced and children grow so quickly!

After recently purchasing my 7 year old son some new and more expensive branded trainers which did not last long at all, I thought I would try a cheaper version for him to 'mess up' when playing etc so far so good! My son thought they were 'awesome.' They clean up really well and are very tough compared to others that I have purchased. A happy son and a very happy mum - can't beat the price!
