A little heavy but safety 1st. Seat could do with a little more range and being an inch further forward to avoid knees hitting back of seat. Make for a frog like riding position which put pressure on hips n knees on hills. Apart from that a brilliant piece of kit and the little ones can see everything going on. Little one are protected incase of any spills and easy to attended to them when u stop. Easy to remove seat when not being used shame cross bar is not quick release but I can live with that for time out with the little fella and family. Just need to find suitable rain cover/poncho.

We purchased this so we can take our young daughter with us on family bike rides. The setat has excellent reviews and comes recommended as the safest model on the market.
On first inspection it was clear to see that this was a well thought out product. There are no sharp edges, finger traps or un-padded areas that may cause injury.
Fitting was easy, thought the instructions were a little vauge. For example the front rest pad has a screw that needs to be removed and is used to help secure it to the seat, this was not mentioned.
If you find that the angle of the seat is a little steep due to the type of frame your bike has/height of seat/handle bars, there are 2 'L' shaped brackets attached to the main bar that you can swap over to reverse the way they sit. This levels the bar out and also gives more room for the rider! Not mentioned in the instructions, or on the web site, but a little work around I found.
Our daughter seems to find the seat very comfortable, and loves the fact that we can interact with her and she can see everything going on. The seat provides great peace of mind due to the side head protection, and does not effect the balance of the bike too much, with the seat itself being very light for what it is.
If you are thinnking of a trailer, and your child is UNDER 4 years, then get this instead! Safe, practical, involving and you always know how your child is! No looking over the shoulder to keep checking on them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Geri79 Fab for second child
Fab product for second child. Now I can go out with my 3 year old in a co-pilot on the back and my 11 month old sitting in front. Rides easily with no impact on balance. Getting on and off is tricky though if you are travelling with two. Knees are also forced slightly outwards when riding, although I don't find this a problem. Not sure I would recommend for long distances but great for school runs and getting around town.

This product is great, my daughter starting using it when she was 1 & half years old. Although it looks compact I do believe she will still be able to use it when she is four. It mounts very easily to the bike between the handlebars and the bike seat post. Your arms are then around the bike seat on either side, giving the child extra security. My daughter loves it as she can see the world (instead of one's back!) and we can easily chat to each other. This product is the delux version with extra padding which is definitely worth the extra pennies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SpeshCamber2011 Flawed but still a great product!
The Weeride is definately the best child seat on the market, I just wish they had used better quality bolts rather than the ones they have provided which seem to be made of cheese!
The first Weeride I bought had a number of damaged threads and allen key heads but I returned this and ordered another and that was fine.
If you are not planning on leaving the extendable bar on your bike you will end up ruining the bolts supplied, you only have to replace them with better ones from your local DIY store but for the £89 price I really would have expected better bolts. Having said that don't let that one fault put you off buying the seat! If you are careful when fitting the Weeride and are not constantly removing and re-fitting ti you should have no problems!
The delux version is the one to go for rather than the standard model which isn't padded enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leah71 Great bike seat
This is a great bike seat. My one year old is a bit short to rest her head on the head rest, but she loves to see where we are going and is usually too busy looking around to go to sleep!!!! It is also very sturdy and the bike is much more stable with her in the middle, than on the back. It is lovely to have your little one safe between your arms where you can see them. I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone.

Love this product, my son is 18 months old and he really enjoys going out for bike rides in this seat. Because he sits in front of me, i can point things out to him as we go along which is much better than trying to turn your head to speak to your little one who is in a seat behind you! I have recommened this product to many of my friends.

We got this model rather than the base one as it's so plush! Also it was on special offer at £75 when we got it which was I feel excellent value. It's the perfect size for our petite 21 month old daughter with some growing room: the manufacturers state that it's suitable for children of up to 40lbs but if your child is well built I'd investigate before buying. After an initial reluctance to get in it, once we were off our daughter was delighted. Unlike rear seats we were able to point to things, chat, chuckle and laugh as we rode along. It was a lovely ride and added a new dimension to cycling. The rear rack was also left free so that I could carry pannier bags. I found that my legs were only slightly splayed by the seat and so this wasn't really any problem at all. One thing I found was that the seat takes up a enough space on the top tube, to prevent coming down off the saddle onto the top tube when stopped: I didn't find this a problem as I was able to balance the bike whilst in the saddle but some riders might be unhappy with this: of course it might not be the case for bigger frame sizes - I am 5' 8" and my bike is a small man's frame size. Also I thought the seat would come with straps to hold our daughter's feet in place but it doesn't, though it didn't matter as she didn't take her feet out of the deep foot rests. All in all though, provided you and your child fit it I would thoroughly recommend this seat, and although I've pointed out some negative points these are very slight when compared to the joy I had of riding with my daughter in this seat.
