The Vax is compact and light to use, I found it quite awkward to use to clean my windows as I have deep sills and because you have to keep the unit upright, was unable to go right to the bottom. It left lines on the windows too. The length of the cable was insufficient as I was unable to clean my shower with the ease I was looking forward too as I needed more length to be able to manouvre and it didn't like cleaning the curved door I have. I would like to know why you can't use it outside and are not allowed to use an extension? There were areas where it was really like cleaning my pvc doors. I will keep using it and maybe it will grow on me more.

The S4 Grime master is a super little machine. It is light and easy to handle and it heats up very quickly. It is especially good at small jobs - it dealt brilliantly with the build up of grease on my cooker hood filters! - and I have also used it to clean armchairs and sofas - but the reservoir is quite small for big jobs like this which also needed cleaning products and a lot of rubbing. It would be helpful if you could see how much water is in the reservoir and I found the screw top lid quite tricky to manage. But on the whole, a great addition to my cleaning arsenal!

I brought this cleaner with one thing in mind, my son is a chronic asthmatic and I wanted something that would clean his bedroom, however after reading the reviews I went straight for the grime behind the cooker, excellent then on to the inside the cooker spit the carbon straight off, feeling encourage next the taps, cupboards, downstairs toilet, upstairs bathroom, that was yesterday today I'm on doors I have a toddler grubby hand prints, this thing is excellent love it just wish there was a bendable nozzle? maybe? and a bigger tank do they sell industrial size I wonder??

I do like the Grime master, but find it a bit of a fiddle to get the hose together to clean corners etc, having to disconnect the hose from the side and attach it to the bigger hose and then having to balance the vacuum so that the brushes dont touch the floor. I feel that I need about eight arms, but the suction is good and once the tools are in operation the power is good, its just holding the brushes off the floor that are the main concern as it warns you not to let the vacuum sit on the floor as the brishes could burn your carpet etc. but all in all thumbs up

I bought this to get rid of some mould on the grout in our bathroom but was disappointed at the size of the tank as you needed to keep on filling it; also, the cord was getting in the way. The brush was completely useless as it would not clean the grout properly and the bristles bent out of shape very easily. Overall, it is a good product if you want to clean a bit of dirt out of some gaps or a window but for something that’s needs a tougher action it is very poor. I actually bought 2 of these and gave one to my parents, in hindsight not a good move.

Rated 3 out of 5 by maxibaby overall ok
Overall ok, it deals with most of the cleaning tasks that I have used it for to date.
However I do have a few issues that I could do with addressing, namely that the screw-cap to fill the water is a bit fiddly for repeated use (I know that it is pressurised), so a quick release fixing would have been better. The tools, such as they are, are pretty poor. I used the brush to try to clean the oven door and it disintegrated after one use! Make it more durable, or include several as throw away items in the kit. I didn't find that it dealt with grease particularly well. It leaves streaks of greasy water when it gets hot enough to penetrate the grease. Steam alone won't clean grease, in my opinion, whoevers' machine you use.
Capacity is fine, as it's a handheld device.

Needed a steamer, saw it, bought it and as we've got other Vax appliances had no doubt it would work. Very simple to use, fill using supplied measuring jug, screw the lid down, switch on and wait for the green light. Plenty of steam for domestic use which can be governed by a small valve which is about the only criticism I have: the volume gradually increases from almost nothing to moderate in about 95% of it's movement then there's the massive increase in the last few degrees to maximum. Having said that, it works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aglondon great little helper
Does what its designed for. Washes windows and mirrors well. Great to clean all little corners that you can never get to or degrease in the kitchen. Heats up fast. The only two minuses to it is the length of cable hence the 4 stars. The cable is really short so difficult to clean entire room in one go or reach tall mirrors. And also the little attachment brush is so weak that it got flat after first use in the kitchen... should be made a bit harder. The team just melts it.
Overall happy with it.
