International Delivery Terms for the Czech Republic and Slovakia
If you order any items from this site ("ASDA") using the international delivery option, ASDA Delivery Limited ("ADL") will provide the international delivery service to you and will deliver the item to your chosen address in the Czech Republic or Slovakia.
These terms and conditions of delivery will govern the terms between you and ADL in relation to all items ADL delivers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and are in addition to our Czech and Slovakian terms & conditions which apply to the sale of the items by ASDA to you. Both sets of terms will together govern your contract with ASDA for the sale of items and your contract with ADL for the international delivery service.
A number of ASDA items can be delivered by ADL to destinations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. To confirm if an item can be shipped in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, please check the individual item pages to see if any restrictions apply to the item you have selected.
By selecting international delivery as the delivery method for your item(s) you are authorising ADL to supply the international delivery service to you.
ADL's international delivery charges are detailed in the "International Delivery Information" section of the ASDA websites. ASDA will confirm ADL's charge to deliver your item(s) to an international address before you place your order and will collect payment for the delivery charge from you on our behalf at the same time as you make payment for the items. Where ADL delivers an item to you, the price paid to ADL for the delivery services will include UK VAT.
If you decline the charge for this service, your order for the items will be cancelled unless you select a UK delivery address for delivery, or select collection from an ASDA UK store offering the click and collect service.
A signature may sometimes be required at delivery. By placing an order for international delivery you are authorising ADL to accept a signature from another person at the same address on your behalf if you need to sign for an item and you are not present at the time of delivery.
For some items that do not require a signature at delivery you may be able to give instructions explaining if and where you would like the item to be left if no one is present at the time of delivery, such as with a neighbour.
The contract between you and ADL in respect of the international delivery service, will be formed when ASDA emails you to confirm the items have been dispatched. This contract is therefore formed in London, England and the language of the contract is English.
Delivery lead times to international addresses will vary according to destination. If delays occur for any reason we will make every effort to keep you informed. For the avoidance of doubt, time is not of the essence for the delivery of items. In the event that your order has been collected by ADL but has not arrived within the estimated delivery time range, please take a look at our Customer Service pages or email us.
If you are not a consumer, and if ADL is in breach of any of these International Delivery Terms with you, ADL will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result to the extent that they are a foreseeable consequence to both you and ADL at the time you make the relevant order. Our products are for personal use only and, towards non-consumers, ADL's liability shall not in any event include business losses such as lost data, lost profits or business interruption.
Your rights under your national consumer legislation are not affected by any of the above International Delivery Terms.
