Bought this in August at £25.00 which I thought was a very fair price, to replce my ancient Tefal cooker. Worked fine initially though the lid was a little hard to align sometimes.Mine came with a trivet and the spare fusible washers.
Bit slow coming up to pressure as a lot of steam seems to be wasted, but once there cooks ok.
However by November the lid release mechanism failed, the plastic sliding catch broke, so unit was returned for a refund. Noticed now the price is reduced to £20.00.
So all in all - just ok, but a bit fragile for regular use. Would spend more and get a better, more robust product next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flyingma Fab purchase in the sale
I got this in the sale and was really happy with it. I am not sure that I would have paid full price for it as there are others on the market although not the Russell Hobbs brand.
I have not used another pressure cooker before so cannot compare it but as far as my needs go, this has worked fabulously.
The instructions seem a bit scarce (on a filmsy bit of paper) but they cover all you need to know. It is just a bit scary when you have never used one before but going by the number of safety valves etc, this is probably very safe.
I bought this mainly for making stock but have since used it to speed cook slow-cook cuts like a shoulder of lamb which turned out fab and falling off the bone.

I have memories of my mother using a pressure cooker and they were not all good, I still have visions of this steaming monster on her cooker spitting and hissing like some monster from the deep ready to explode and splatter me with its contents, so i must say i was a little unsure about this purchase.
I have had this Russell Hobs unit for around a month now, and would recommend it.
After a few experimental veg and potato I ventured into what it does best, ie save you cash on your utility bills by cooking cheap cuts of meat etc to a very acceptable level.
It is nothing like the scary monster my mother had,in fact it is easy to use and clean.
I am now going on to try more dishes like soup and stews.
The steaming basket included is great for cooking veg on top of your main dish again saving money and pans.
It looks good to with its highly polished finish. buy one and try one you will be pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShopperNumber1 Wonderful Winter Warmers !
Very useful addition to the kitchen pots and great for creating those winter warmers in a short time.
Cheaper cuts of meat can be purchased for tasty stews etc.
An absolute must for a growing family.

If something sounds too good to be true.....@ £25 looked good, now at £15 looks even better, but returned item for full refund. Pressure never reached due to..faulty valve? Parts missing, email address listed with product - not known, uk email c/service not replied. Pay more, get more, get better quality. Top marks though to Asda who refunded with no real problem.

nice size, and light if you have problems lifting heavy objects like i have, i have used a large stainless steel one for years but it had got to heavy for me to lift when full. this one is smaller but every bit as good, cooks in the same length of time, would recomend to anyone++++
