    Description

Let's get steamy! Introducing the Auto Steam Pro from Russell Hobbs.

Ironing. It's probably one of the chores we put off most often. It can be dull, boring and time-consuming but, let's face it, the rewards are good. For 60 years the designers at Russell Hobbs have been dedicated to making light work of even the most mundane domestic chores and the Auto Steam Pro does just that.

It's easy-to-handle size, design and capabilities include a aluminium soleplate that glides effortlessly through even stubborn creases. Wrinkles in denim, linen and cotton can be tackled by the iron's automatic stream generation. Its 320ml water tank can generate 35g of continuous steam and a mega-120g shot of steam. As well as steam, the Auto Pro has dry, spray and burst functions and an easy-to-operate temperature dial so you're firmly in control.

That chore you once braced yourself for can actually be a pleasure as you'll get through it in no time - imagine the satisfaction. It has an anti-drip feature so you won't soak your clothing, floor or flex and, because it's transparent, you can see how much water you're putting into it so you know when to stop.

For additional security, the iron has a non-slip heel so there's no danger of it sliding out of the ironing board cradle. A handy 2m power cord allows you to put your ironing board up anywhere you like so you can watch TV while you iron - even if you're not close to a socket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by worst iron ever. Worst iron I have ever bought. I purchased this iron last month. It does not glide across the clothes and the steam delivery is not continuous or even very good. Unfortunately I will have to buy another iron I have never enjoyed ironing but this iron makes it even more frustrating than you could ever imagine. 29 December 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Big mistake buying this iron It does not glide over the fabric but skids causing creasing. Although cheap, I wish I had not bought it, as it has doubled my ironing time 01 January 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by terrible Having worked in the dry cleaning trade I'm fussy about the products I use but after my old steam generator died suddenly I was forced to purchase a cheap iron quickly. Although I was not expecting wonders for my money after reading the details on the box this iron seemed more than good value for money. I was fooled by the good name and blurb on the box. This iron is utter rubbish and a complete waste of money. I followed the instructions on the box allowing the iron to heat up and then using and old price of fabric I rubbed the hot, steaming iron over it, instantly the iron stuck to the material and the more I ran the iron over the material the worse the sticking became, I checked the bottom of the iron and it was "black"'. The bottom of the iron was ruined and I had not even ironed one item of clothing. I tried to clean the iron plate but the material was burn onto it so solidly there was no way it was going to be cleaned off. Don't waste your money of this useless iron, spend that bit extra and get something decent...... 11 October 2013
