Rated 4 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by no staying power Bought this after much research 4 months ago. It was great for 2 or 3 months of light use, 1 or 2 cups oer day max. Good coffee from ground. Not so good using ese pods which produce a thin tassteless brew with little creme. Was very happy and thought it was a good machine for the price. however it has now developed multipke faults, the motor cuts out for no apparent reason, the milk frother has ceased to function and the control knob does not perform the tasks it is designed for? When it worked it was a good machine but the faults did not take long to manifest. Not desiged to last? 24 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by well pleased I had one of your coffee machines for almost twenty years., inevetibly it failed and I had to get another . unfortunately the model was discontinued so over a short period of time, I tried two others of different makes, but both developed faults early on after purchase. I then purchased a pump type machine (made by a well known company) but it is a pretty poor performer, and I was never happy with it. Then I spotted the "ALLURE" expresso machine on a well known website, so I purchased it, and I am so glad I did, it performs really well, and I get a good hot cup of coffee every time. I have only had it for a couple of weeks, so I am uable to talk about durabilty, but the quality as far as I can make out is very good, I think I have chosen a winner. 29 December 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really good espresso Works well, once you get the hang of it. Espresso worked first time, top quality; frothing the milk for capuccino took bit more practice. I like being able to make coffee without buying the little capsules of ground coffee. Downside is that it is noisy and does vibrate. To stop the cups moving I use a small nylon scouring pad as a mat. And make sure that the water container at the back is pushed fully down, otherwise the valve doesn't open and no water comes through. 10 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent machine Good quality. Plenty of metal, so heavy and solid. Prefer this to the lightweight plastic models. Would give a 5 but only had machine one day, so don't know yet what long term reliability is like. Tip- ensure the water container is fully inserted into the machine, otherwise the water cannot be extracted. It does vibrate and the cup can move around, but not a big issue. Just hold the cup while it fills, it only takes a few seconds. 29 October 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Supberb! I'm over the moon with my purchase. Only paid £89.99 for it, but would still recommend the full price for it. Very easy to use and in my opinion, better results than a coffeehouse, as you are making it to your own personal taste. The inbuilt frother makes your cappuccino froth silky and creamy. Perfect! Love, love, love my Russell Hobbs Allure Espresso Machine. Big a+++++ from me. 03 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoying the Capuccino Bought this after reading lots of reviews on similar products, bought this mainly because of the great deal from Asda. Still getting to grips with using the machine but every cup is better than the last. So far using a strong coffee mix with plenty of milk frothed for a long time, (don't forget the chocolate it makes the difference.) 07 September 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very disappointed Have had my machine about a year, was great at first made lovely coffee, looked good and easy to use. Now it doesn't filter the coffee properly and the frothier isn't so good. Also no troubleshooting hints in the instructions. For the price I would have expected it to last longer. Very disappointed. 14 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by RUSSEL HOBBS BUCKINGHAM ESPRESSO MACHINE This coffee maker is far better than the Delonghi that had multiple water leaks and endless repairs, would prefer a larger water tank but this coffee maker is so good I can live with that 10/10 and looks/works like professional machine on the worktop in the kitchen. 27 June 2014
