I love my halogen ovens for their ease of use and savings. This is was the worst purchase I have ever made. I have taken my oven back to the shop to exchange 3 times within 3 months. It just stops working. I suspect it is the thermal fuse. I am going out once more and purchasing the JML brand product. I had one before which lasted 4 years before the element finally blew due to a fat splatter.I am not even going to bother returning this one to the shop. I shall bin it and just think of it as throwing the cash directly into the bin. I really thought the the Russell Hobbs brand was better then this.

This oven is the best new kithen tool that I have purchased since buying a mico wave years ago.
Its very easy to use, but a better instruction book with some cooking hints would be helpful.
The main problem is that the ink or paint that they have used for the timer and the temp control can be rubbed off with your thumb. This will make the unit useless in the future.
The replacement I was given does the same thing, and the one I bought for my daughter is also the same.
Until this is sorted, buy with caution.

I am a big fan of halogen Ovens and use them daily have now had 3, this is without doubt the worst. Within weeks the Time & Temperature markings began to smudge and disappear with gentle cleaning, after 4 months the thermal cut off fuse failed, within 6 months the bulb failed all of which I had to have repaired myself. On the plus side it did cook more even than my first, if a bit slower.

I brought this halogen oven yesterday, my first meal I tried to cook was a disaster, i had no idea how to use it as I have not had one before. There was no cooking instructions or ideas of what to cook in it. I have now ordered a cook book and look forward to using it as friends have said how brilliant these cookers are but.I do think you should include a cook book.

First time that I have used a Halogen cooker. So far so good.
The biggest disappointment is the absent of a decent recipe book.
The one that is enclosed with cooker is a very basic booklet. Does not provide enough details of how to cook item/s.
Thought it would be common sense to provide a proper booklet

Rated 5 out of 5 by gerrymf Better then average build quality halogen oven
I have had 2 Halogen Ovens before & I use them for most of my cooking, they are much better then a conventional electric fan oven because they cook the food quickly & evenly are easy to clean & you can see the food cooking through the glass.
The only problem with my previous Halogen ovens were they lasted 18 months maximum, the build quality on the Russell Hobbs seems to be much better so I hope it will last for 2 or 3 years.

I find it very difficult to cope without a halogen oven so when mine broke after many years of use i was very pleased to replace it with my Russel Hobbs, and I am not disappointed! Everything Ive become used to!
