Half boy. Half God. ALL Hero. Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God.I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive. This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I've stolen his lightning bolt - and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The first in a must read series This is the first in this particular Percy Jackson series & now features as a film. The stories are enjoyable for all the family & as a mother I look forward to reading the rest of the books to my children aged 8 & 10. The mythology content can be a difficult concept for children to grasp, however most primary schools teach elements of mythology which these books compliment perfectly. The adventures are exciting, dangerous & loved by children. My son finds these books difficult to read but claims they are the best stories ever! For independent reading I'd suggest 10yrs plus. Younger readers will need help 07 December 2013
