It has been over ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.
In a first for the franchise, Resident Evil 6 sees series favorites Leon and Chris come together to face this unprecedented threat. They will be joined by new characters, each with their own unique perspective and involvement, in this relentless dramatic horror experience enacted on a global scale.
Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Real survival horror The latest installment in the series keeps you on your toes. There are few times when you can truly relax without fear of a zombie running headlong at you. They seem more persistent than ever, having learned a few new moves, and the undead are not lacking in numbers. Even in the early stages you can find yourself quickly overwhelmed if you are too hesitant. This does help to build a tense atmosphere, and you feel a genuine sense of achievement when you survive some of the scenarios. In typical Resi Evil style the puzzles return, providing a sometimes welcome change of pace. All in all, an exciting and engaging game. This should win a few new fans for the series, and keep long time fans (like me) happy too. 12 October 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 A pleasant surprise I have played all RE games and its never ending sequels and I am pretty much old school when it comes to zombie apocalypse games. I was a bit disappointed with the last 2 RE games but this RE6 has been a pleasant surprise. There are 4 different campaign/stories that you can play with varied characters. Each campaign has a different style, so you get a bit of the old good original Raccoon city style, you also get a bit of a Call of Duty kind of style and more co-op game play. Most original characters are revisited and the stories get intertwined nicely. The mercenaries mode is just great and the options online are very addictive. I am already replaying this game for the third time he he 12 October 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Successful pre-order I pre-ordered and was extremely happy the game arrived on the day of release. The game itself is great, and with 4 campaigns I feel it has alot of re-playability. The game is a little too easy but I might change my mind when the No Hope difficulty is released! 1 Mercenaries map is unlocked from the start which is good to keep you going until you unlock the rest. 15 October 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Good Solid game good game very entertaining and good follow on. 12 October 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 Resi Fan? Do NOT buy this game!!!! Firstly it's important to pint out this is not a review of Asda's service... that was brilliant! They were friendly, helpful and the game itself arrived in super quick time. Ok, so if you're a die hard Resi fan you probably thought Resi 5 was a big kick in the vegetables and have been hoping that with Resi 6 Capcom would drag it back it to the wonderland of survival horror that the Resi series used to stand for? Well prepare yourself for a shock, Resi 6 isn't just the worst, most frustrating Resi game ever, it's actually a rubbish game in it's own right. I'm talking TERRIBLE pace, poorly scripted events leading to unavoidable deaths, embarrassing set pieces, a lack of coherence between the four campaigns, frustrating controls system and base. Really, the list goes on, if you're a Resi fan DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, you will be disappointed!!! Capcom, sort yourself out, this isn't even a good game, let alone anywhere near good enough to stand tall within the Resi family of games. Truly sad and embarrassing!!!!! 12 October 2012
