Rated 4 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by wow!!!!!! i bought this on {5/4/14 and i was gobsmacked at the quality and loudness of this speaker for the price.even at full volume it produces nice distortion free bass.other reviewers have mentioned about the unit turning itself off after 5 minutes or so but as long as the music source is turned up to max. eg ipod/tablet/mp3 player. it doesnt turn off.another nice touch it has is a 3.5mm socket and a socket to plug a mic/or guitar in the rear. only downsides to this speaker is no remote and no power off button but after ten minutes of inactivity to speaker goes into sleep mode. all in all a fantastic piece of kit and yes i would 100% this recommend this product!!!!! 08 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by thought i had bought a duff speaker after purchasing the speaker and then having to search for drivers I found that it kept turning itself off after about 5mins just as other reviewers had said I then discover t hat if the volume on the pc is turned up to full volume and then turn on the speaker it does not turn off there is no mention of this in any information about this product if there were perhaps customers wouldn't return it as faulty! apart from that it is a very good bit of kit 13 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Polaroid 2.1 Bluetooth speakers 25w i purchased these from asda yesterday , and my jaw dropped …. after listening to speaker docks such as bose , sony , the beats by dr dre beatbox and some other different brands of bluetooth speakers/ipod docks and this just blew me away with the quality , it has a 5" 15w subwoofer with twin bass ports do you get nice deep distortion free bass and two 2.5" midrange speakers which provide a fantastic vocal range , well as most people expect from a cheap product , the bass to be all muddy and the speaker to be all rattlety and get loads of nasty distortion on maximum volume , well not with this , i can set my iPhone volume at maximum and full volume on the speaker , not a single bit of distortion no horrible compression , just fantastic sound , even has aux inputs and even an instrument input for a guitar ect , to be fair , you'd struggle to find a bluetooth speaker of this quality , if even beats the quality of the bose soundlink system i had and returned as this was far superior , only bad thing i can honestly say about it is no remote or bass + treble controls , but don't let it put you off cos you can always change your devices Equaliser settings and reduce the bass if its a bit thump if your playing it at night 21 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent sound As previous reviews have stated , yes it does turn off every 5 mins but only if you have the sound from your device turned down. I.e. your mp3 player or phone. If you leave the volume on your device turned up to max and use the volume controls on the speakers there is no issue with it shutting off. Sound quality is amazing . Good amount of bass. Good strong build quality. Every who has seen it have commented on it's excellent sound. 16 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic sound quality for the price. Bought this based upon the positive reviews. Great sound quality, only seconds to connect to almost any Bluetooth device. Just note that that volume must be set to maximum on your device else the Polaroid speaker will automatically turn off. Control the volume on the speaker if you need to adjust the volume. Despite lacking a battery and requiring mains power, this is a fantastic speaker for the home. Could run this off a booster pack if you're camping. :-) 01 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Its a good buy... Good product.. but.. there is a catch... it normally turn itself off after 5 mins of playing music (like everyone else complain about). and its normal. to avoid the speaker from shutting off is to make sure your device (mp3/ipod etc) volume is fully tuned up to the max before connecting it to this speaker. preferrable to make volume adjustment to the unit itself. Reason - this machine goes off as it recognise low volume from the mp3/ipod and turn itself to the sleep mode. also others complaints are for not having power bottons to the unit. if the machine is not in use. it goes to sleep mode. and to operate it back simply press the bluetooth bottons. its that simple really. overall this machine is good value for money..its affordable and great machine good base sounds and distortion. it can even plug your guitar to it. its recommended! 21 March 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by sadly didn't work Bought this speaker and I will admit that it sounded pretty good when it worked. After only a few minutes of play it would turn itself off, not just drop the Bluetooth, but turn off completely and wouldn't always restart when plug was taken out and put back in. Just had a refund 28 December 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Good sound but faulty I had the same experience as the other reviewer. Good sound but it would turn itself off after 5mins or so. Don't know if this is an inherent fault across all the l devices or just a faulty batch. The case is plasticky and looks a bit Kids bedroom, but the sound was good for the money. Returned and got a different make from another supplier due to the fault. 01 January 2014

    Answer:
There is no power button. When you plug in the speaker it is in bluetooth discovery mode. Just get your device to pair with it and you're good to go. Look in the supplied leaflet/manual. It tells you all you need to know. :-)

    Answer:
No once the mains adapter lead is plugged in you need to press the center button, until it flashes red then you should have sound. For Bluetooth press until it's flashing blue, it will make a bleep then it should connect to the Bluetooth device... I hope this helps....

There is no power button so just use the mains power switch.

Make sure the volume is turned up a lot on your mp3 player though or it will cut out after 10 minutes.

    Answer:
The speaker should flash when plugged in and switched on and then the bluetooth options will mean it flashes quickly for looking for a device then slowly when it's linking to it.

Sadly these products seem to be defective with a lot of people reporting them to switch off after five minutes. This has been happening with mine and I am returning it today.

    Hope that helps.

    Answer:
As per the instruction manual you can turn it on with the centre button on the top if its "gone to sleep" but it is only completely deactivated by removing the power cable. If the bluetooth source stops sending music the speaker goes to sleep and can require the button pushing to wake it up. Press and hold the same button to switch to the line in supply on the back (button switches to red light instead of blue for bluetooth)

It is mains powered with an adapter, however the speaker requires only 12v so with a suitable adapter (not included) you could run it off a battery or from an in-car power socket.
