Having to date relied on my children's cast off phones, when one of these needed replacing after I had dropped it once too often I was in the market for a mobile phone that I could use to receive and make primarily phone calls. I have to say that the Nokia I purchased has met all my requirements and with a long battery life has proved much more convenient than my previous mobile phones. I may even be motivated to learn how to text, but if you want a basic mobile phone then this more than fits the bill and the delivery from Asda was first class.

This is the phone for you if you REALLY DO just want a decent basic mobile phone rather than a portable office/ music studio/ cinema/ British library/ missile tracking system/ hadron collider/ bat detector/ trading floor / muffin tin/ paperweight.
I'm a low phone user and have tried a few cheap phones which have all been compromised in some rediculous annoying fashion but this is exactly what I have been looking for:
1. Phone calls
3. Keypad with individual buttons
4. Clear letters
5. Incredibly long battery life - a week between charges
6. Great performance in the low signal area where I live.
7. Unbelievable value - I paid less than £20 on PAYG
8. Light as a feather
9. Perfectly simple to use.
In addition there are no streetlights where I live so an integrated torch means I don't have to carry one.
I suppose there are a few trivial downsides but are probably just my own preferences really:
-Nokia texting uses the star button instead of the down rocker button thing for scrolling through word options which I think is counter intuitive. Likewise in texting if you key in a 6 and a 3 it defaults to say "of" rather than "me". And if you want to spell a word, the option to do so doesn't appear until it has exhausted all other options of that letter combination and comes to one not in the dictionary which seems longwinded; there should be a "Spell" button available under "Options".
-Locking the keypad is not as simple as some phones I've used.
