Perfect gate for our needs, which are to contain our young grandson in his bedroom and stop him from exploring the entire house at night / early morning unattended. It fits on the wall just outside the bedroom door and is easy for an adult ...or taller person to open as the catch has to be pressed down from above to release (two buttons either side to be squeezed together at the same time). It only needs one hand to operate. It also allows our grandson to open the door from the inside to call for someone. It will be fine until he takes to climbing.

Purchased online during one of their "baby events". Delivered in average time. As it's a Lindam it is of decent quality. I had to purchase separate Y connectors to attach it securely to the spindles at the top of my staircase and these have worked perfectly. Nice and secure. The advantage to the gate is that it clicks shut behind you when pushed, instead of having to negotiate shutting a gate with a finicky lock whilst carrying a child through the gate. The only issue I have is that the gate lock is quite stiff, which I envision will ease with use. (it has slightly already after 2 weeks use) There is a lso a knack to opening the gate by the gate lock which you do get used to.
All in pleased with this and would recommend, especially when purchased during the sale.

I bought this to use for the doorway to the children's bedroom-the way it closes, by pushing (or slamming) it shut can be quite loud and to open you have to hold a button in and hold the handle area down. Bit fiddly. Virtually impossible for my kids to open though but I wouldn't use this type of gate for a high traffic area of the house as I'd get annoyed with it. Much prefer the old style lindam gates but happy enough for the light use I need it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by robScotland Seems solid...
Currently it only contains our dog, but it seems solid. The only aspect I would say could be improved are the pads that press on the door frame. They are hard plastic that rely on being inserted into little cups that stick to the frame. The stick pads are not "Commando" style easy remove pads, so they will most likely make a mess. I don't see the need for them if they had made the pads from rubber.

I wanted a stair gate but ended up fixing this on my son's door. I realized I needed extension to have to fixed on the stairs way.
I struggled with the opening and closing of the door for the first few days which in my opinion shouldn't be. Eventually, it loosened up.
I am not particularly happy about the purchase which is partly my fault.

Was looking for something cheap and cheerful that does the job and this is it. The handle can be stiff and I don't think you get used to it. Ideally you need to be holding and pressing down hard on the handle to effectively open the gate. But for the price, am satisfied. I bought three of them for the house.

Rated 3 out of 5 does the job
Bought this for stairway and was slightly disappointed as the opening is quite hard especially with one hand which is often necessary when carrying baby. the opening is a press button and push down. The gate itself it robust and will last maybe I just need more practice with the opening!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Spinners Fine as safety gate but Not tripguard!
The actual gate itself is fine and a good price. Easy to install and use etc. But it is not a tripguard version as stated. It is a sureshut safelock. The lower bar that is suposed to be 50% lower is in fact the same size as my other lindam safety gate!
