Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by great fun you will read reviews all over the web saying that this doesnt work. We followed the instructions (you are advised to use flavoured syrups or vanilla essence for flavouring) and found that no, it doesnt work if you are using vanilla essence. the ice cream becomes rock solid and is impossible to get off the drum without a sledge hammer. Highly frustrating. However, if you use syrups as flavouring you end up with a reasonable amount of delicious fluffy ice cream which comes off the drum easily. Perhaps it is something to do with the sugar content in the syrup which is not present in the essence. Be aware though you will not have any thing like the amount of ice cream shown in the picture, that is misleading. You will get one or two cups maximum. But you have to remember that this is a toy, not a proper ice cream machine, and with that in mind its a good buy. Its great fun to use, quite educational and my 3 year old and 5 year old love it. For that reason I recommend it. 19 October 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by does what it says on the tin my daughter loves this, it is simple, easy to do, she can do it herself. We stick it in the freezer when made to firm it up because it can be a bit runny still, especially if drum not full of ice. Tastes good. 07 February 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by No better than if mixed in a jug This was bought for my 7 year old for Christmas. Followed the instructions. All we ended up with was cold milk/cream/syrup mixture. Poured into bowls and put in the freezer. We could've made the mixture in a jug and put in the freezer without wasting 20 minutes turning a handle. Total waste of time and money. 29 December 2013
