Rated 5 out of 5 by Juddesota Supremely AWESOME!!!
This is the best and the biggest set I have ever gottan! The steering is great just a little hard to handle. The suspention is awesome and it can drive over almost ANYTHING!!! I spent about 12 hours building it (with breaks) and it is completly worth the money! My steering is just alittle of because right after I built it, I drove it to knock the box of the table and it fell of the table on to the ground 3 1/2 feet below, and only alittle beam fell of that was quickly replaced. It know turns to left alittle but I soon gonna fix that. Any LEGO builder would want this set,( my 9 year old brother tried to permenatly borow it). I highly recomend it!!!

Well my mom got this for me on my birthday. I got it when I turned 14. First off, the suspension is great. It's easily able to keep it up right when it's climbing obstacles, unless it's riding a wall or some thing, It rolls over on it's side, but that would happen to any truck. It also has good ground clearance. Though, under the axles, it's not too great because it can't go over a mini figure without knocking it over. I tried to make it go over my fist. The front wheel went over my fist just fine but the back wheel ran out of torque and couldn't get over. The crawler could really use locked differentials and the XL motors. Over all, this is a very enjoyable set and 1000 tons of fun! Keep it up, Lego.

This was a great build. I really liked how the chassis came together and then the body was built on top. It makes it easy to see how the same chassis could be used as the base for a customized body. The vehicle feels very solid. I can pick it up from just about anywhere and move it around without parts breaking off.
The vehicle does great at "off-roading" driving over shoes, chair supports, and other household obstacles with little effort. The cons are that the IR remote is line of sight and can go out of range even across a room. I wish the top speed of the vehicle was higher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dowsethemowse good set but could of been no better!
the suspention is good but as the body is quitelight the suspenction is under used it could of been a lot heavier the model its self is good but has some problems with the gears you will need to defently read the instruchons very very carfully as one wrong moov could result in he set of back wheels not mooving the stearing is hard but once you master it its a great to play with.one last thing be carful when pulling the cap off as it might fallof as the stick on the front-back can fallout so be carful as it will take alot of time to put the top section back on but apart from the little hiccups the set is great and i would rate it 4.5/5.0 I WOULD NOT GIVE TO AGES 10 UNDER THIS MODEL IS VERY ADVANCED TO BUILD!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by WoogyChuck Great build experience, decent play experience
This was a fun set to build. Seeing all of the suspension parts come together is really fun. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I switched around the gears to make the truck faster. I was happy with the controls and my son and I had fun driving it around, but the climbing ability of the truck was over sold a bit. Even with it's minor flaws, it was still very fun.
- Fun to build
- Fun to drive around and scare the pets
- RC components easy to re-use in custom models (My son and I made an RC tank).
- Climbing ability limited
- Too many stickers

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bigkid1002 Love the rc functions
Purchased this set as soon as I saw it. I've just returned to Technic after a 20 year break.
The RC functions are great and the servo motor is a very nice touch. The set isn't too difficult to complete, I did find it a little repetitive as the four wheel drive/steer means that the front and rear axle are basically mirror images of each other.
The model is extremely robust and the motors provide more than enough torque to tackle most household obstacles. My niece and nephew (3 and 5) love building assault courses out of cushions, which the model has no problems tackling with them at the controls.
Overall an excellent model and considering there are three motors and rc functions I think it represents excellent value for money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill13 Good, but could be better
Like MemphisStylePiano I changed the gears to get more speed (easily done even after build completion), which in my opinion creates a better play experience. In both gear configurations, the truck has trouble climbing because it lacks a differential. It was able to climb over my shoe but as soon as a wheel looses contact with a surface, you loose all climbing power. Unlike another reviewer, I have not had any problem with gear slippage.
This is the first model I ever built that has you build jigs to help with assembly. They are unnecessary for experience builders but I can definitely see where they would help newer builders.
I like the new motors that it comes with and that the design allows for easy removal of the battery box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lonewolf awesome set
This is my first big technic set. It was the most challenging lego set I ever built, but the instructions are very clear as long as you make sure to follow each step and not miss anything. I really enjoyed the process and the finished model. It is very durable, you can make it climb over fairly large obstacles without a problem, and if it happens to bang into something, it still stays together without a problem.
There is a lot of detail, it even helps me to understand how my real 4x4 works.
I will definitely look for more big technic sets in the future.
