Rated 4 out of 5 by Follow3rofChrist Great to make a Portion of a Base
This baseplate has 32 studs by 32 studs. It's great for making forests, and terrain. If you want to make a base, try the grey one instead. But the grey one is technically $5 dollars more if you buy one instead of buying 2 of this. If you're really desperate, you can spray paint the baseplate to make it a certain color you want for the terrain. This plate holds up minifigures so it doesn't fall normally like on carpet. It's a nice platform to hold your vehicles and miscellaneous there. Some time ago, it was around 3.99? Around there, but unfortunately it rose to $5 now. buy it before the price increases!

Rated 3 out of 5 by geekynerd Green baseplate: the baseplate for every need
This set is just a baseplate and that's it. It's thin, so you can slightly bend it without breaking it. Because of that, you can pop off stuck plates by giving it a little twist.
The price is a little high ($5 for one piece ain't that appealing), but it has a better PPP (Price Per Piece) than the grey baseplate (which is bigger, but you can just get two green plates) which has $15 dollars for one piece.
It is essential to every LEGO fan, because you can set up buildings, bases, and military checkpoints on that thing. If you have enough smooth plates, then you can build a roadplate (but I would not recommend that).
pretty boring buy, but worth it in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by starwarsLEGOonion Great if you Have a lot of Minifigures
This set is very great if you have a lot of minifigures like me. I have forty minifigures on that baseplate. I have another thirty that I didnt put on there. I use this for my minifigures because I like to model them and show them off. This set is very crucial to have. It can be used to make houses on it or to have battles with your minifigures. I make small battles with my Star Wars minifigures. I just wish that this set was a little larger. If you need a lot of these baseplates, the price can add up pretty fast. There is not a whole lot to say about this set. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I got one of these a long time ago (those years go flying by), and now I have many baseplates. (Although still only one of these)
These things are great. You can build almost anything on this! All you need is a few more and you could make a neighborhood or a castle, and a few more and you could make a town, and a few more and, well, the money adds up eventually, but it is worth it.
OK, this set's (if you can call it a set) playability is terrible. It's a green piece of flexing plastic with cylinders on it. The playability is good is when you have LEGO bricks to put on it...
And now for the evil pros and cons
great for building on
Hope this was helpful,

This base plate is amazing it's just what I needed. Here you can open your imagination even more you could build countless things on these base plates like houses, forest, parks, markets, anything. And the best part is you can put your mini figures there and they wont fall because their stuck on the studs. And you can always remove what you built on these base plates and do something different. I got a couple of these base plates to add to the outskirts of my city like the grasslands. The price is also great for what it gives you! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially people who want to add floor to their city, so their Legos don't fall easy, so you can build many stuff on it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MiniStormtrooper A beautiful parkland setting!
Before I begin my review of this item, I would like to ask
"What do they mean "Large" green baseplate?" There is no small one, so how can this be large? Please can someone tell me!
This set is extremely useful for making arks an grasslands. Or Farms. It is green like grass, which is good and you can do almost anything with it.
No, really, buy it. I know this is a lousy review but that doesn't matter. What matters is that this piece is probably one of the best lego pieces since the Lego brick.
So Buy it.
You Need it.
And You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nellster Another builders dream.
Unless you have wood floors (and a pillow for your knees) building LEGO structures on the floor can be tough, whereas if you have a baseplate underneath you, it will be a whole lot easier to build. I have so many of theses I usually lose some of them because I store them in so many different places!
Stable surface to build on and keep the pieces in one place
Half could be a house and the rest could be the lawn. (Don't you wish your lawn was that green?)
If you have new or plush carpet, it can still be hard to get the pieces on the baseplate
Overall, I gave this product full marks, because you can't easily start a project without one of these. I wish they made them in different colors again.
Leg godt! (Play well!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by legostarwarsguy48 Already have four, but not enough!
I got my first one when I was about Six or Seven and I couldn't stop building on the dang thing! I had trouble deciding if I wanted to keep the house or build a smaller one with a driveway. Eventually, my parent's 15th anniversary came along and I sacrificed my only in tact baseplate, then two years later I got three more and started building and offroad map for my big V8 SUVs and trucks. You can easily put these under a good 10 pounds of anything in a Tupperware and not have to worry about anything snapping. Just get this, believe me when I say that!
