Firstly Can I Say I Am A Kindle User Who Bought The Kobo Mini As A Mothers Day Present For His 80 Year Old Mother. My Mother Is “Scared Of Technology” - In Honesty I Thought “If She Doesn’t Use It It’s Cheaper Than A Kindle”
Was I Wrong. The Kobo Is EXCELLENT.
Compact. Lightweight. Easy To Use. Screen Clear & Font Resizing Easy
She’s Getting Through Books At A Rate Of Knots!
On The Basis Of This Unit Expect Kindle To Release A “Mini” Shortly

I thought the Kobo was the poor mans Kindle. How wrong was I!
This little square of technology is brilliant. I can read it with out my glasses; The size means I can go back to carrying a handbag instead of a bucket bag and the weight is negligable which is very important with my back problem. In addition, the fantastic price and speed that it was delivered is uncomparable. Being touch screen, sometimes the train jolt turns the page but other than that, it is fantastic.

Bought this as a birthday present for friend's 11 year old. We have 2 Kindles in our household and having set up and used the Kobo for her, I was pleasantly surprised!! The Kobo mini has great touch response and the free children's ebook selection is really good!
I discovered that not only can you enlarge the font, but there is a selection of fonts to choose from! Even a font specifically designed for dyslexics (Opendyslexic) is available, which is great! An absolute bargain for this ereader.... :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by YorkshireReader Great little e-reader
OK so I already have a Nook and a Kindle so I bought this as an extra that I could take out and about. Its so small that it fits in a trouser or shirt pocket and for the price(25) its a steal. The size of the screen is obviously small and means you have to turn the page more often, but this is smooth enough with the touch screen. Not sure about the battery life yet but early indications look good enough. Easy enough to sideload epub books although as with all the others you do have to have a store account to get you started.
I have taken 1 star off for not having any manual buttons and no light but at the price who's complaining.
Oh in case you were wondering my order of preference for e-readers I have is 1. Nook Glowlight, 2. Kobo mini and 3. Kindle. The Kindle was bought first and cost the most so beware the power of advertising. If you need a piece of book management software check out Calibre.

The kobo mini is a good size, fits easily in most pockets and handbags. Great way of getting rid of books cluttering up the house. Would recommend to anyone who reads even occasionally. Can download stuff in pdf form to read later, as well as loads of great books to choose from. Young children love using the kobo too, you don't actually feel like your studying.

Kobo Mini is a must have for people who like to read on the go, the size means that it easily fits in most pockets (its height is same as most large screen smart phones). Due to its smaller size it weighs almost nothing which makes it comfortable to read for long periods of time, text is clear and there are plenty of options for text size, font type and layout. I've been using it daily and can't fault it, especially when it cost so little.

I've found the mini e-book very simple to use and it's ideal that you can stick it in your pocket and take it everywhere with you. If I have one small gripe it would be that finding protective covers for the e-reader is slightly difficult. For such a small appliance it has tricks aplenty in the menu and the battery life is exceptional,I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
