Rated 5 out of 5 by zuzureview really good cleaner (dog owner)
heats up quickly and light and easy to use.
i use an extension lead as the wire is a bit short. floor dries really quickly so great as i have two dogs and all wooden floors. steam means no pet smells so my house seems fresher. not sure if you can add fragrance to the water. havent tried as i dont want to break my new cleaner.would buy replacement pads as i need to wash a pad after every clean because it collects so much dirt. have not used a mop since buying this cleaner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PennySaver Handy to freshen up.
I find that the Holme HSM2001 Steam mop has freshened my carpets. I just wanted to be sure my carpets were clean as I have small children playing and crawling about the house. Also after cleaning up food spills it's nice to steam clean and removing any smell that might linger. It's very easy to use, lightweight and quick to reach temperature. Though the cord is a bit too short for my likeing. I've only used it four times so far, so I am waiting to see how long it lasts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LDsh Good value for the money
Having just moved into a new house & having binned my old mop & bucket I decided to give the steam mop a whirl & with this one not costing much more than the mop & bucket would have & with great reviews I thought it was worth a go.
I found it harder work to glide the steam mop than expected but put this down to dust (I had hovered) on the new tiles. However after the first attempt and a wash of the cleaning cloth it was a hundred times easier. I then used my second one and it seemed hard again - my conclusion is that its best to wash the mop heads before using especially if your tiles are more slate feel.
The cable was plenty long enough to do each separate area and the swivel head helps. Definitely less messy than a mop and bucket.
I'm very impressed with this item for the money and will be buying one for my mum :)

Bought this steam mop after borrowing one from a friend.I was very impressed, especially with the price as it is easy to assemble and does exactly what it says.It heats up in no time,so youre ready to go and cleans even stubborn stains on tiles.Apart from cleaning my front door step i would throw away my old mop and bucket!!The steam mop is much quicker and easier to use and gives better results than the old fashioned method.Would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 8Katie8 Quite Impressed, bit of a workout to use.
I purchased this item based on some of the great reviews it received and I have to agree it is a brilliant item, works very well, easy to assemble and all that jazz. I'd say the only downside is that it is a bit of a workout to push it around...then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing! Maybe the marketing should be changed to include that it will also give your arms a good workout! All in all, it works well, cleans well, but just a little heavy to move.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dg99 Good value steam mop
Biught this mop about 2 weeks ago & I am very pleased with it. Was excellent value compared with others available. So far have cleaned a tiled hallway which has probably never been cleaner since the house was built! Also a kitchen floor that a steam mop is ideal for-cleans away spills and leaves it as clean as it would be if you were able to use boiling water on it.
Very easy to set up & use,on hard floors or with the carpet slider will freshen carpeted floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kaz119 great budget purchase
I bought this steam mop after a friend recommended it to me. I had previously planned to buy a much more expensive steam mop as was concerned that a cheaper one would not be as good quality. So far, however, I have been very happy with it! It heats up very quickly and removes any stains very effectively. It was very simple to assemble and easy to use. The only disadvantage is the short lead, however I have got around this by using an extension lead if needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 Don't waste your money
Whether there was a fault with my item or it is just a general fault but this machine does not heat up quick enough before all the water leaks out of the tank. It totally soaked my floor and I had to get my normal mop out to soak up all the water.
It is very easy to put together, and take apart again.
Either pay the extra and get a more expensive cleaner, or stick with traditional goods.
Not worth the money or the effort of collecting/returning to store.

Beats my previous model handsdown. I couldn't get on with it and took it back for redfund. Thought I'd try this and am not disapointed.
Easy to use, cleans my large kitchen with one fill and leaves the floor almost dry.
The cleaning pad is also a lot better than my previous one.
The only problem found so far was on the assembly, couldnt get the handle in as far as it should go. Not too much of a problem as the mop is not used in the upright position.

Was a bit wary as never used steam mop before. Delighted with assembly,
weight and dimensions. No lugging dead weight around and it stands (or hangs) in a small space. Tried it first on tiled kitchen floor which I normally scrub. Very effective though be warned..if your tiles are old and stained, the stains do show up more once the ground- in dirt has been removed!! Have done two rugs now and it left them soft and glowing.GET EXTRA PADS FOR THE MOP.

Wasn't sure whether to buy this product as for every five or six good reviews there was a couple of bad ones. However, I felt that the bad ones could have been the way in which the product was being used. Anyway, I went ahead with the view that if it wasn't very good it wasn't a massive amount to loose money wise and if it was good - well it would be well worth it. I've used this twice now on my tiled bathroom floor, my sealed wooden sitting room and my conservatory, but best of all on my kitchen tiles that to be perfectly honest are usually a nightmare to clean due to the miniscule raised pattern (don't ask!). Not tried it on the carpet yet, but really, I have every confidence that it's going to be just as good on the carpets as well, and if not - it's paid for itself already anyhow - so quick and easy to use. Why didn't I get one before?

Rated 5 out of 5 by griner Floor cleaning made so quick and easy
The price and prompt delivery as made this one of the best buys i have ever made.
The steamer is so easy to use and light to push it makes floor and carpet cleaning almost a pleasure to do I could not belive how sparking the tiled floor as become and the carpets seem to be refreshed to almost new condition.
On the down side the cable seems a little short.
I would recomnend this product to any one who would like floor cleaning made a doddle.

Very pleased with this purchase.. It is the first steam mop I have tried, and after reading such good reviews I decided to try this one. Easy to put together, and use. Also glides across the floor with ease. I don't know how I managed before, without it.! I have a mixture of wooden & tiled floors and it cleans them all no problem.
I have been so impressed, I have ordered a 2nd one for a family member.. Fast delivery aswell.. top marks to Asda..

Rated 3 out of 5 by janpt123 You get what you pay for!
Performance is actually quite good once you have managed to join the two parts of the handle together. Triangular swivelling head enables it to reach all areas and it doesn't leave mucky water marks on skirting boards unlike some conventional mops. Swivel head did come off on second use as one of the retaining screws had come out but managed to fix it so not sure of how robust it will be, but like I said in the title-you get what you pay for!

I've been toying with the idea of a steam cleaner for a while and liked the good reviews on this one. It assembled fairly easily and heats up quickly and I found it holds an adequate amount of water for the 4 floors I use it on. It leaves the floor cleaner at the skirting than a normal mop would and is more hygienic but I will need to purchase more cloths. This will last longer than a normal mop (I hope). So far very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Miaruby Basic but does the job
I guess I was expecting the miracle cure for my untidy home and whilst it does clean the floor its only slightly better than a mop. The area if steam is small so you do have to work at it to cover large areas but it does clean nicely and I will keep using it. There was a smell in my bedroom carpet and after an hour if repeated steaming it is no longer there so I'm please about that. It's also much cheaper than it's Market rivals. Go asda!!

Forget wet mops and try a good value steam mop. Easy to assemble, easy to fill and great at cleaning floors, shower trays, doors sills etc. This mop is not made to last forever but it still does all of the above for a very reasonable price. The microfibre heads are easily clean I just pop in the washing machine. The only bind I found was the cable was about a yard short. But I liked so much I have brought several for Christmas presents.

i am very impressed with this little steam mop. it heats up very quickly and cleans and dries very efficiently.i have five dogs who sometimes have accidents and by using this mop makes me feel as though the floor is cleaner and more hygenic. its easy to assemble and is nice and light to use. my only negative would be that it needs a slightly longer cord so the plug can be hooked on or put a clip to fasten the cord to.overall - i love it.

I got what i paid for~Would proberbly be okay if you lived alone and never left the house to bring any dirt in..Having 6 cats and a dog and being a little ocd it was no good for me whatsoever..took too long and was quicker for me to get on hands and knees with bleach even with all the rinsing needed..I'd been used to a more expensive, well advertised green machine that made life so easy but had finally given up the ghost.Saving4another!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by fazerdaddy Cleans great but poorly constructed
I have used other steam mops and this one beats them all on cleaning performance. The downside is the extremely poor build quality being very flimsy and internal parts far too basic to last any length of time. (The water control tap has broken on 2 occasions causing 'flooding').
Thankfully Asda never quibble when I persistently return the faulty ones for replacement. This is the only reason I have given 4 stars for Value so happy days!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by OpieH good until it broke
used it twice - works well on laminate floor, no real difference on carpet. Started leaking a little as it warmed up and cooled down. Turned the knob to stop the water, and the knob fell off. But using a small piece of plastic to hold the knob on - so sense says it is never going to last... but good results for the 2 times I got to use it. Would I buy again - no - rather spend a little more and have a machine that would last longer.

Read other reviews so knew to slacken off screws if a bit tight - and they were. Works very well, leaving my laminate floors beautifully clean in a few minutes. Easy to clean difficult corners. Floors don't take as long to dry either.Only downside is the cable could do with being slightly longer so I only need to use 1 plug socket in the living room, but this is a small problem that doesn't detract from it being a great product..

Rated 4 out of 5 by Queeniecooke Quality product
This product does exactly what was said in the details about it.
The cable is plenty long enough and the water container holds enough water to do plenty of floors.
I decided to try it as a carpet cleaner as well and found that it was just as capable at this job as for hard floor cleaning.
It got so much dirt off my laminated floors I was astonished as I thought they were clean before.
I am absolutely delighted with this product.

I am really pleased with this steam mop, i bought it as my large bissell floor cleaner had broken after many years! I used to struggle with it as it was heavy and large so looked at steam mops instead.
This mop cleans nicely, dries quickly and is lightweight and easy to handle and store.
The clean is not as good as the bissell floor cleaner but was £200 cheaper and does the job very well, i also use it more often as its so light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mansoor Good Quality - Great Price
This is a great priced, affordable product. It is very convenient; especially its rotating mop that easily reaches the difficult spaces is amazing. This product has ended up the hassle of drying floor after mop. Its comes with an extra cloth, and even an additional set of cleaning cloths can be bought. It surely gives value for money and it is certainly not a low quality product. Summery is, it provides quality cleaning!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roseo Cheap and Cheerful Steam Mop
For twenty pounds, my expectations were low, but this cheap and cheerful steam mop works perfectly and I find it much easier to use than a mop and bucket. The results are excellent and the floors dry quickly as very little water is left after steam cleaning the floor. Mop comes with 2 pads and replacement pads are about two pounds each. Mop works best if pad is dampened before attaching to mop. Overall highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Organisingtothemax Good price,
It's a quick to use, easy to set up steam mop - but it's not the best out there. If you are prepared to put in a little more work (i.e. go over the floor a few times to start off with) then it's worth the £50+ savings from other models. Lightweight, can hang it up, grab it in an emergency. Not too sure on the use on carpets, doesn't really do it for me on pre-existing marks - but might work on fresh ones. Good value though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Busy3BoysMum Broke after a day
I'm afraid I had a bad experience with this - I used it to mop my kitchen floor, wasn't overwhelmed by it to be honest. Missed the clean smell of disinfectant you get with a normal mop. But after about 15 minutes use the head snapped off the ball thing and there was no way to snap it back on again - the heat seemed to have melted and warped the plastic out of shape. So I returned it for a refund as didn't want another one.

Was thinking of buying a steam mop after seeing one advertised on t.v. but thought it might be rarely used and was quite expensive. So saw this one on sale, read the reviews and gave it a go.Its easy to use, light and takes up little room.It doesnt seem too powerful but it certainly gets the floors clean, the cloth is really dirty!! Bought extra cloths in store at the same time and just throw them in the washer-great stuff.

Having used a more expensive steam mop (borrowed from my mother-in-law), I was unsure how this would match up. My expectations were not high but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it out and found it did almost as good a job as the expensive mop. The floors perhaps took slightly longer to dry but everything else was much the same. The unit is light and easy to use. For the price, I would definitely recommend it.
