I bought this for my 20 month old granddaughter who generally wakes in the night/early hours and wants to get up, meaning my daughter never gets an unbroken nights sleep!
It is early days, but she loves her clock and has been heard to wake in the night, say "stars!" and then settle down again. If the she doesn't settle, she looks at the clock and says "sun - where?" waiting for the sun to come, and she is delighted when it does appear!
She has only had it for a week and my daughter says she can already see a gradual improvement!
Seems like it has been a good buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spanner1980 Essential for early waking toddlers
This is a fantastic product and if you're frustrated by your child waking up earlier than you wanted them to, then get one. I heard about it through other mums then read loads of reviews on all the usual websites and it really lives up to the hype.
It's easy for the child to understand and fun to use. My 2.5 year old understood straight away that when the sun comes up, then its time to has to get up - simples! Now we set the alarm for 7am or 7.30am at the weekend and he doesn't wake up til then.
My only issue with it was that it has taken me a while to get used to the controls, but I expect that is more user error than anything.
Asda was the cheapest place I found the clock too, especially if you get it delivered to store.

Our almost 3yr old daughter had started to sneak in to us during the night, so we set a rule that she could come in once the radio was on. So she kept coming in at all hours asking if the radio was on yet!!!
I found a similar pink clock that I thought might help, but the reviews were poor and for this great, so figured this was worth a try. We are not disappointed. She loves to watch the sunshine wink before it goes to sleep and the stars come out & yesterday I woke up to her saying 'the sunshines here' :-) in the morning. There is also a key lock feature, so once the stars are out she cant just change them herself, which we know she would try to. Very pleased, bit pricey maybe, but worth it for a bit of extra sleep every night.

We bought this product to help our daughter sleep better in the mornings, and it has been amazing.
Although it was bought to stop our mornings starting at 5.30am but it has also helped her sleep for 2 hours at nap time, by using the nap setting.
The book with the clock helped her understand the concept and we have used stickers to re-enforce it (she gets a sticker at nap time and in the morning when she stays asleep till the sun comes up).
We started off setting the clock to her usual wake up time, then gradually set it later until now she wakes at 7am. This has taken us less than a week to complete.
Our daughter is 23mths old, I think it would work for someone slightly younger, but they need to be over 18mths to understand the concept.

We purchased this clock when our 14 month old son started waking at 5:15 and not wanting to go back to sleep. Although it is recommended for children 2 years+, we thought we would give it a go. The concept of the clock is so easy and visually clear and interesting, that at 14 months, he is already grasping it. The clock gives a visual representation of time and our little boy now waves to the sun when he appears, which is very cute. Whilst we still haven''t quite cracked sleeping through the night, the clock gives us something to use to symbolize our message about not getting up yet, and with perseverance it is starting to work. The actual clock itself is very neat, clean and attractive to look at and I am very glad we have invested in it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Minipinz Fantastic Idea That Works
The Gro Clock is well constructed and intuitive to use. Before trying it for the first time; I spent a little while with my 2 year old toddler miming the sleep and awake actions to each sun and moon phase. After a couple of nights and pointing to the colour of the clock and explaining she needed to stay asleep, we now have a sleeping through the night child. The product definitely represents value for money and for the quality of life we have received, we would happily have paid more. Thank you so much, to the clever inventors of this product!

this is the second one i have bought i have one for my first child and bought this one for my second child as it has worked wonders with my first completly stopping those 5 am wake ups, it is great as no matter if your child wakes in the night they are not confussed as to what time it is as it has stars that go down one by one as the night goes on and when it gets to your preset time the sunrise happens and your child knows its time for them to get up,this is the cheapest price i could find one for utterly fantastic

Great idea that cetainley seems to help since we have started using it. Clear picture which our boy who turned two just after we started using it, seems to understand an like. Not the most user friendly initially but once you have the hang of it, it is fine. The book is a great idea but should be better quality for the cost and this really helps with introducing the concept to your child. In all I would highly recommend for any parents with an early riser for a child!
