Rated 5 out of 5 well worth saving up for
Excellent tablet! Just the right size for reading, surfing the net, playing games, emailing, watching movies, & the main usage to read books. Screen quality is amazing, speed great.
It was between the Nexus 7 & the Kindle hdx. Similar price, similar quality, but you can't download Google play apps on the kindle & couldn't see the point of spending all that money not to be able to use the biggest android app market there is. Not lost out on books either as the kindle app is fab, so I have access to all the books I want from the Amazon kindle store. Nexus 7 is perfect for my needs. You won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GiggleByte Top value Android tablet
I always thoroughly research online tests before making a purchase and this tablet, although on the market now for 12 months (Sept 2014), is still highly regarded and offers great build quality and a fabulous screen for the price. In addition to the HD resolution it has one of the brightest screens and good contrast so is readable in sunlight. I was fortunate enough to catch an Asda promotion that made it even better value for me. I also own the 2012 version, which is still a very nice tablet but is only the 16GB one. It is definitely worth going for 32GB if you download a lot of apps or need the extra storage for media. In a nutshell....you won't be disappointed. Just be aware there is no SD card slot to expand storage further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chapppers Nexus 7 2nd Generation 32gb
I'm not new to tablets, having previously owned a Sony tab. I wanted something more up to date, primarily for internet surfing and Apps. So speed and fluidity was top of my list. I looked at many review sites and the Nexus seemed the best value for money in terms of spec you received. Reviews were also promising. Both my mum and sister have Apple Air tabs, so I new the Nexus had a lot to live up too. I've now owned the Nexus for 2 weeks and have not regreted my purchase at all. Its everything I wanted and still impresses me. When I compare my families Apples Air tabs to mine, this is just as good and costs less than half the price. Being someone who is not loyal to one brand (ie. Apple) is a big plus, otherwise I would not of considered the Nexus.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OceanRebel Has got a gps sensor, shame it doesnt work!
original generation1 purchase had charging problems and had to go back...it just would not charge. I bought the generation2 as it had a forward facing camera which gen1 did not have, and also thinking its problems would be ironed out by now. However still had to reset a couple of times during early days to actually get it to run. Biggest problem for me is that the gps just does not work and the gps capability is why I bought it instead of an i-pad. I want to use the navionics charts app at sea as a back up to the vessels main nav system. However once away from the phone networks this thing is completely lost, literally! Reading internet forums this is a VERY common problem. Disappointing in a tablet that is otherwise ok. The camera and display is good, and the size of it fits my jacket pockets.
