    Jean-Yves Devevey Rully Blanc 2009
    France
In 2009 the grapes were picked very early (8th September) which has led to the cuvee maintaining a good freshness of acidity. Average vine age is 30 years, 'agriculture raisonee' is adopted, i.e.. No chemical weed killers or fertilisers. The wine spends 12 months in oak barrel followed by 4 months in tank prior to bottling
Fine pale crisp clear colour with some fresh apple notes to the nose, characteristic of Rully. It's lively and fresh on the palate too with an attractive juicy quality. The palate fills out nicely - a super wine to quaff across the summer months

    Chateau Bois Pertuis Bordeaux 2011
    France
Situated on the right bank of the Gironde, just north of the city of Bordeaux, Chateau Bois Pertuis benefits from an exceptional terroir of well-drained gravel, sand and clay. The winemaker Vincent Cachau uses all of his skills during the vinification process to produce a wine which reflects the heritage of Bordeaux, but which is thoroughly modern in style. Yields in the vineyard are limited to enhance fruit concentration and the wine is matured on oak barrels to add suppleness to the palate texture.
Spicy-fruity nose, complex with aromas of cassis, blueberry, vanilla, spices. Ruby robe, very strong, bright with garnet shades.

Jean-Luc Colombo Cotes Du Rhone Bonne Roche 2011
    France
Jean-Luc fulfilled a childhood dream with the purchase of his first vineyard , a small parcel of old vines planted on a granite hillside overlooking the village of Cornas. This was his starting point and now his thirty plus strong wine portfolio extends to all of the Rhone valley and beyond.
A vibrant blend of Grenache and Syrah with a touch of Mourvedre produces a lovely, lifted wine with floral and richly fruited characters. Firm and spicy with finely grained tannins.

Vincent Careme Vouvray Spring Sec 2012
    France
Vincent Careme's a new name in Vouvray, a young producer of classic Chenin Blanc at the heart of this chalky region just outside Tours. One to watch!
Fresh and minerally on the nose with bags of crisp apple and waxy lemon fruit plus a touch of honeyed richness. Balanced, racy acidity and a rounded textured mouth feel. Aromatic pear and fragrant lemon peel characters as well as richer notes of lavender honey on the long, elegant finish. Great minerality and rich concentration of appley, honeyed fruit. A good match for autumnal salads.

    Seguin Pouilly Fume 2012
    France
We have been winegrowers for six generations. Our property is located 1 kilometre (0.6 mile) east of the town of Pouilly-sur-Loire. The vineyard grows on various types of terrain throughout the property. The 17 hectares of it are planted with Sauvignon grapes producing the Controlled Appellation "Pouilly-Fume". The winemaking process is traditional while using modern techniques, such as thermo-regulated fermentation in stainless steel vats.
The Pouilly Fume wine is made exclusively from the "Sauvignon" grape. This "cru" has the typical "gun flint" flavour which goes remarkably well with seafood, fish with white butter sauce, and goat cheese.

    Duboeuf Fleurie Flower Label 2011
    France
Often described as the King of Beaujolais, Georges Duboeuf is also its most tireless ambassador. Having pioneered modern winemaking in the region and stoked the fires of the Beaujolais boom with unrivalled vigour, he refuses to rest on his laurels. Duboeuf still tastes hundreds of wines each day, and marshals his enormous range almost single-handed. While flower-label Beaujolais remains his empire's most recognisable creation, one must remember he is a merchant as well as a winemaker: the company distributes numerous high-quality domaine wines from Beaujolais and beyond alongside certain super-cuvees made by the master himself.
Attractive scents of apricot and spring flowers, with a well-structured, medium-full palate.
