There are 28 giant plastic dominoes featuring all your favourite Fireman Sam characters from the friendly town of Pontypandy. What makes these dominoes so great for young children is that the numbers have been replaced by pictures of Sam and his friends so children who may not know all of their number yet can still enjoy this fun and exciting game. The dominoes have been produced using a high quality plastic to make sure they can be played with time and time again. Each domino is brightly coloured and features a lovely image of two characters per domino.
The aim of the game is to be the first player to place down of all their dominoes in order to be the winner! It's dominoes with a Fireman Sam twist, to keep children entertained while they learn - encouraging observation and matching skills. You begin by putting the dominoes, face-down on a table or floor and shuffling them. Each player picks 5 tiles. Place the remaining tiles - face down - in a pile. The player with two identical pictures on a domino places this in the centre, and the game begins. The next player - to the players left - tries to match one of his tiles with the one in the centre. The game continues in this way as each player takes a turn - creating a chain of tiles. If you cannot place an identical domino down then you have to pick one up from the stack. Tiles can only be placed at the start or end of the chain. The first player to place all their dominoes down, wins! The giant game of dominoes has been developed to help improve children's numeracy skills from a young age.
