Dark, almost raisined fruit lead to a lovely flavour of black cherries wrapped in a cloak of vanilla.

DescriptionWe have chosen this wine especially because it comes from old vines which produce a very concentrated intensely fruity flavour. In eastern Spain Aragon, is Spain's second oldest D.O. Carinena, a source of fich full bodies red wines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aglassfull from Lovely wine The grenache grape usually makes for an excellent wine. This one is no exception and I was struck by the intense fruit in the mouth. Excellent value at just less than £4.50

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anibanani from Loved It! Australian Shiraz is my favourite wine and this one is way up there with the best. Delicious dark fruit flavours followed by a thump of vanilla. I'll be back at Asda tomorrow to fill my wine rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bill73 from a cracker! I must say I enjoyed this wine a great deal- I'm getting some enjoyable flavours in my mind now just remembering the fresh fruity taste that sprung from the glass into my mouth when I tasted it-then reinforced them by another quaff -superb!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill2610 from Perfect for Price Having bought a collection of different reds this was by far the best. So I ordered more! It is a rich fruit tasting wine which is not too overpowering as in some wines. It is also great value for money and has the taste of a much more expensive bottle. I can thoroughly recommend this but don't be in too much of a hurry to drink it, be sure to give it time to breath or decant it and I'm sure you will enjoy this wine as much as I have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SomersetConnoisseur from Sounded so promising, but turned out thin and sour A big disappointment: with all the prizes this wine has won and the promise of dark cherries and vanilla, I was looking forward to tasting an interesting and pleasing wine from Spain. Instead, I would not call it vinegary, but a sour, thin wine - and I tried leaving my glass in a warm room to see if the wine would improve and take on some character and body, but even this failed. I will be returning the bottle tomorrow for a refund. I hope it is just one bottle, not a whole batch which is like this.
