    Product Details

DC39 Animal has Dyson’s latest Radial Root Cyclone technology with remodeled airways to maximize suction power. It has Ball technology to turn on the spot and follow with greater control. DC39 Animal comes with a Triggerhead tool so there is no need to bend down and adjust between floor types. There's also a Tangle-free Turbine tool to remove dirt and hair from carpets and upholstery.

    Product Features

    • Radial Root Cyclone technology
Dyson's patented cyclone technology captures more dirt than any other cyclone. In Radial Root Cyclone technology remodeled airflows maximize suction power. Improved flow efficiency reduces turbulence and preserves air pressure, so more microscopic particles are extracted by the inner cyclones. These refinements help remove more dust, allergens and pet hair from the home.
    • Tangle-free Turbine tool
The Dyson Tangle-free Turbine tool is the only turbine tool that doesn’t tangle. There’s no brush bar for hair to wrap around. It uses counter-rotating heads with brushes to remove hair and dirt from carpets and upholstery and releases it straight into the bin. The flexible heads and articulating base plate ensure that the brushes maintain constant contact with a surface – no matter how uneven. The heads are positioned so the brushes reach to the front and side of the tool, drawing in hair and dirt from all directions.
    • Ball technology for canister vacuums
Conventional upright vacuums use fixed wheels. But wheeled vacuums can be awkward to steer and can make you work a lot harder than you need to. All that back and forth around corners and obstacles. Ball technology is a radical alternative to fixed wheels. Dyson Ball vacuums ride on a ball, which pivots on itself so you can instantly change direction with just a turn of the wrist.
    • Triggerhead tool
The Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle. No need to bend down and adjust when moving between floor types. A rotating brush bar deep cleans carpets – push the trigger and it switches off to protect delicate rugs and hard floors.
    • Captures allergens. Expels cleaner air.
Ordinary vacuums can’t always retain all the dust they remove – so some of them vent some of it back into your room in the air they expel. That’s the reason for the dusty, electrical smell. Dyson cyclones can capture microscopic particles such as pollen, mold and bacteria.
    • Hygienic and quick to empty
Emptying the bin on a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying – and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. Dyson vacuums were the first to have clear bins – despite market researchers insisting it was a bad idea. Now clear bins are everywhere (though not all are made from the same ABS polycarbonate as riot shields, like Dyson bins).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product & Customer Service I would like to take this opportunity to say how pleased I have been with the product I have (DC39 Animal Complete). It is probably the only Vacuum that picks up everything including the finest of dust but also keeps me on my toes as I have to clean the filter regularly. But more than this, I have to say Hats Off to you for the Excellent Skills and Values you have instilled in the Dyson Team. Customer Service is if not the best then one of the best I have ever experienced. I had an issue with the handle, new one sent to me without any questions or proof of purchase required and free of charge. That's customer service. A job well done. 09 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Difficult to empty, I don't think so. I can't understand why anyone would want to empty their machine in the house, what would you expect but dust? That's what a vacuum cleaner is for, sucking up dust and when you empty it you are bound to come into contact with it. I read a lot of reviews before buying and decided to ignore the negative and I'm glad I did. Some people are just incapable of reading the instructions/ using the right tools for the right floor etc. I also have a short pile carpet and have experienced no issues when vacuuming. My old vacuum was well past it so the difference is unbelievable. Well made and does everything it says it will 14 May 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very good for stairs but disappointing on flat su We moved into a new-build town house with lots of floors and lots of steps. I bought a cylinder vac to make life easier on all the stairs. It does work really well on stairs and is much easier. However ............. when used on a large flat surface the suction is nowhere near as good as an upright. I have ended up keeping my old Dyson upright which I nearly threw away, on the top floor to use on the bedroom floors. Perhaps the carpets are still loosing a lot of fluff, but it seems to fill up and need emptying a lot. In short, very good for stairs, but for the money I paid, I am very disappointed with the suction on flat carpets. 24 April 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Design The handle is uncomfortable in use due to the angle. Better on older models. Impractical to use handle in conjunction with the duster tool or any other add on tool as extremely uncomfortable. And to high to be able to get between shelves On carpets the Ball steering works less efficiently than older models falls over a lot. Prefer my old DC9 The mechanism and clip on the dust collector very thin plastic not sure how long this will last Unlocking tools is a two handed job, old machines you could do with one more practical Bad design sorry Turbo brushes small and large excellent and picks up dust etc better than older models but not comfortable to use. 10 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great machine, except... This is a great machine, with an outstanding number of accessories included - but my only gripe is with storing the unit: my old Dyson would allow for the vacuum head/arm to be inserted upright into the main part of the machine - the DC39 however requires the arm to be inserted at rather an oblique angle, and it is NOT the easiest procedure at the best of times (very awkward and cumbersome, with repeated missed attempts before getting on ones knee to guide it in) - the existing slot needs an attachment designed to allow for a more accessible storage holder, so that the arm can slip in far easier & securely - otherwise, great machine! 21 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 We used to have a generic vacuum cleaner purchased from a well known high street retailer. However, we were increasingly finding that it wasn't cutting it in our flat. I purchased the DC39 Animal just on online reviews alone. I'd never used a Dyson so had no first hand experience of them. The first time I used it it pulled so much dust out of the carpets that we'd cleaned weekly, I had to empty it before heading to the hard floor. Then, when changing the cleaning head, I noticed exactly how much of my girlfriend's hair had been missed in the passed - so much hair caught up, it was unreal! Overall, a very good experience so far! 25 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by DC39 Animal The vacuums that I have used in the past have fallen down on a few areas. Specifically manouverability, suction and ability to vary performance when changing surfaces. I have found that the DC39 succeeds in meeting and exceeding all my expectations in all of these areas and more. It is also easy to store, comes in a range of attachments to meet the array of cleaning needs and it is light enough so that working the stairs is not difficult. I have been extremely impressed with the overall build quality of the DC39 which exudes quality. The most important factor here is everything makes me trust both the product and the brand. I can happily believe in Dyson. 26 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great workhorse for pet owners I purchased my first animal dyson six years ago, this new animal dyson purchased recently is far superior. The suction is more intense and the emptying cylinder is now from the bottom instead of the top creating less dust , the head is more suited for animal households as the previous animal dyson kept clogging up with hair and I had to keep cutting the hair with scissors every use, this new version does not clog hair so much but is easier to extract with scissors as there is a new way of taking out the bristle roller which is far easier. All in all a good purchase even better as I traded in my old dyson in the recent promotion. 24 September 2012
