Rated 4 out of 5 by recliner more than happy with my purchase. my partner has cancer of the spine, we both got a recliner each. his came from a reclining shop and only difference his has pocket at side of chair and wa 50 punds dearer. recliner sturdy and comfortable. only fault i find is foot rest is a little hard to push back in. you have to give it a bit of welly especially if you are small like myself. very comfortable to sleep on and very smart appearance. delivery was on time. delivery chaps most helpful set the recliner up for me as i was on my own at the time with my partner being in hopsital. all in all more than happy with recliner and good service. 16 July 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by You get what you pay for ? These were a relacement forour old leather recilners, the sale price caught my eye & we were looking for a more slimline modern look. On the latter 2 this is the product but they are VERY FIRM not a cosy snuggle down with a book or comfy watch TV kind of chair. The side handles are plastic & I have doubts as to how long they will last. The leg section does come up easily , but to get the lower section to click back into place needs work or very strong lower legs. I have to bend down & push the foot section back until it clicks. On the whole I would not have bought them had I had the chance to sit on one, but the price was fair (on sale only).Sorry but I would not recommend. 03 July 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Design Very pleased with this initially. Easy to assemble (slot the back onto the seat). Looked very nice, good quality. However, my wife finds it impossible to get the chair from it's reclined position into the upright position. I have to push to part which supports the calves down and click it into place myself, or else she is stuck there. Conversely, when I sit in it, the calf support won't stay up. I have longer legs than my wife (I'm NOT ridiculously tall or overweight, just 6' 1", and just over 12 stone in weight!) but if I sit back and relax, my legs are slowly lowered back to the floor. Okay if you're about 5' 5" and pretty strong, otherwise, look elsewhere would be my advise! 21 April 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not good Bought this chair as an addition to my lounge and on first impressions, seemed okay. On reflection I think this chair is quite flimsy and poorly made. The mechanism works fine and I have no trouble using it, and I am only 5ft 2. The problem I have with the chair is when I get up from it, it feels like it is coming with me, and will end up on my back. This isnt just me. My daughter sat in it and felt as if she was going to fall back with it. The leather material is ill fitting and just looks like a baggy coat over the top of the frame. The only thing goos about it is the price. I am seriously thinking of returning this and buying a stool!! I think this may be sturdier than the chair! 21 June 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quite remarkable quality It's decorating time at home and a new suite needs ordering. In the meantime, the hard wooden dining room chairs are not proving particularly popular with the wife while she's watching Corrie. THIS RECLINER may just have saved my marriage. It arrived as a sort of "flat pack" so was easy to get through the front door into my living room; the back simply pops into the base. It's incredibly comfortable to relax into and the recliner function works very well, reclining the back slightly while extending the leg support. What amazed me most was something I discovered quite accidentally... it actually reclines into almost fully flat, if the back is pushed down from behind. This could make it useful as a spare/temporary bed if ever I buy something again without consulting her indoors! 23 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value chair - ideal for purpose Bought this chair for my 22 yr old son's bedroom. He wanted a recliner for his "man-cave", where there is limited space. This was a brilliant find, as it's good value and fairly compact for a recliner. The back of the chair stays upright whilst the reclining mechanism is in the legs only, so great for a smaller space. Quality is fairly good (OK not luxury leather but what do you expect for the price?). Was reasonably easy to put together. Very comfortable to sit on and easy to recline, but the mechanism is still quite stiff and it takes some strength to push the recliner back in - I'm sure this will ease with time. Overall - a good purchase. Delivery was efficient and only took a few days from ordering. 15 January 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by good value but quality control? Delivery fine Delivery man brought it up outside stairs for me. Foot mark on inside of chair (looks from construction as was inside plastic bag in box) Part of the velcro ends not fixed to chair so ends loose where back fastens to base to hide mechanism. As others lowering foot rest can be stiff if you are putting presure on back of chair and the final part of getting foot rest home seems a long way back when you use legs but can be pushed with hand till it clicks or stand and use foot once standing. Very strong smell when first arrived which went after a couple of days. Overall good value (at around £160) but also a couple of white/silver marks which again look to be from frabic marking in factory. 11 December 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by stolen from asda bought two chairs to fit small lounge and also to test asda quality and supply chain prior to ordering more expensive sofa.read reviews beforehand so was prepared for action to be stiff and chair not to fully recline also being 19st plus some reviews questioned comfort for larger user.delivery excellent on time and unboxed in my lounge for me.assembly could not be easier took less than a minute to assemble both chairs.recline action smooth as silk straight out of box.both my chairs recline fully.comfort superb even for my rotund frame.i honestly feel like i`ve mugged asda because these are a bargain buy.finally my wife is severely arthritic.she is totally comfortable and can operate the chair easier than the £1000 chair it`s replaced.my advice buy one quick before asda realise there giving them away. 09 June 2012
