Rated 3 out of 5 by Best price on the market It was alot longer than I thought. The telescope itself is very light, and the tripod only weighs a little more. It is not heavy at all... a child could definitely carry it with ease. I was impressed with how many add ons came with it (eyepieces etc) and that the tripod can easily extend or descend for adult or child use. When fully opened, the tripod does need room so be aware of this. After use it can be folded down to fit into a small space without the need for removing any parts- or can be dismantled and put back in the box to keep it free from dust- you decide! Overall: for the price (I have researched everywhere) and this is definitely the cheapest telescope on the market. However this may be because it is a discontinued product so getting any repairs or spare parts may be tricky... but luckily I haven't lost any parts...yet! 12 March 2011
