Rated 5 out of 5 by Perryslad A good product meeting all my expectations
I purchased this product having read previous reviews. My elderly Mother struggles to lift a heavy kettle and required a simpler method of making a cup of tea. She has little stamina so a 30 second boiling period is idea for quick cup of tea. Living alone, this device is ideally suited to her requirements. A larger cup is recommended on the basis the quantity of boiling water delivered from the spout is greater than the standard china cup. She is thrilled with the product and has devised a simpler method of filling the reservior without spilling any water. I would reconmend this product for anyone requiring an easy and more cost effective way of making hot drinks.

I bought a Breville HotCup last November for my eldest son to use at work and he loves it. He works in a secure area and doesn't have access to the normal drink facilities, so it's great for him. I have just bought another one for Christmas for my youngest son, who lives in a studio flat which is on the third floor, but shares a kitchen on the ground floor, and its a real hassle sometimes to go all the way down there just to get a hot drink, especially when you're not well as happened the other day. Breville Hot Cup will be ideal for him. I am planning to buy one for myself next to complete the trio!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by zeke best kettle i ever had
first the one cup looks great takes away the boring look of a kettle
the fact im single parent means less risk to child burning as only one cup at a time boils
no need to lift and pour so hands free for hyper kids
guests enjoy making thier own tea n coffee
it boils in just under 30 sec so very quick for advert breaks so you dont miss your programs
saves on energy as boil one at a time
over all if you looking for a new kettle i would highly recommend i know i will never go back to old style kettles im hooked on this type now
all friends think it cost a lot but a same price as normal(cheaper in fact)kettle it really is a eye catcher in the kitchen
it be perfect for bed n breakfast as well save water electric and guest would really appreciate

We liked the design and style of this kettle and as I suffer from joint problems the dispensing feature would be of great benefit. We also considered that this kettle would likely be more economic to use as you are only boiling the amount of water to use.
Well, we've been using this kettle now for a month and it's perfect, we have no complaints whatsoever. Admittedly you need an average size mug, cups are no good, you can't control the amount of water dispensed, but this is not a concern for us as we always use mugs.
We have read other reviews that criticize the water dispensed is not hot enough, all we can say is ours dispenses water as hot as a standard kettle, perhaps these people had a faulty one.
We would never go back to a standard kettle, can't be more pleased.

I have had kettles/water dispensers in the past but this is the best one yet. The difference between this one and others that I have had is that you can actually pick up the kettle/water container part and fill straight from the tap, other makes you would have to use a jug to refill. This is a quick and easy way of making a fast cuppa. The water container lights up blue when you turn it on. I would highly recommend this product and it was a great buy especially when I got this from Asda's £20 cheaper than other stores.

This is must have piece of kitchen equipment. Boils an exact amount of water every time. You want a mug of coffee, presto, you need to make up instant soup, presto, you want to make instant gravy, presto. You want tea, your partner wants coffee, no problem, make the tea then the coffee, tea's ready when the coffee is. I get up a 6:15, i don't have to think about just putting the right amount of water in the kettle for my cup of tea, the Hot Cup is sitting there ready and waiting, and again at 7:30 when my wife gets up for her breakfast. Yes we stil do use a traditional kettle when we need to, but this appliance performs a need brilliantly. Buy one today, you'll not regret it!!!

I'm was surprised that the kettle was very basic - yes it boils in only few seconds but it only boils 300 mls - which is too much for a standard size tea or coffee cup which means you have to pour some down the drain anyway so you have room for milk and to stir sugar! And it really only dispenses that much at a time so if you are making more than one coffee then you need to turn on again - wait for boil - and wait for dispense again.....
Not practical for me at all - they could improve this kettle by having your own dispense button to be able to control amount of water dispensed with a stop button too .....

Bought as a Christmas gift for an elderly relative. Surprised at how heavy it is especially to fill it. Have advised my relative to use a jug to fill it with as the point was because they were struggling filling a normal kettle. However, it boils really quickly and fills the cup automatically. Works much quicker than a kettle and my relative doesn't have to lift or pour boiling water which is a relief. Very pleased with this product.
