I have yet to use most of the functions but my initial impressions are that this is an excellent device. The instruction manual can appear confusing at first but when you get into it it is very logical and helpful. I was confused at first by parts 8 and 9. Drive shaft and holder. In fact these can work separately or together but in the packing they are joined and need to be separated by unclicking them. The cable tidy works well. Just push the cable slowly back into the device and voila - it works. Just dont expect any explanation from the manual. Finally if you are irritated by the manual I recommend downloading the english version from the web site. You need to go to Home Appliances and customer services and you get a 16 page A4 version. Much more user friendly Hope this helps Richard

A recipe style handbook would be useful. First time owners of a food processor will struggle to know what blade/attachment to use when setting out to make a crumble topping, sponge cake for example. It took me some considerable time to work out how to assemble it. And I still cannot see how the cable tidy works - maybe it doesn't with a uk plug. I bought this because of the juicer attachment. That worked perfectly for marmalade making.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GreyNomad Great Product, shame about the manual
We threw away the old Moulinex food processor and the Kenwood blender and replaced them with this ideal all-in-one model. The concept's great, it's well made (though I do worry about how long the lugs on the main bowl will last) and for the functions we know how to operate, it works well. I wouldn't describe it as quiet but then the noise seems normal for a product like this. The main problem - look on the web and you'll find I'm in good company! - is that the manual is utterly useless. I still can't work out how to use the juicer (not the citrus juicer - that's easy) nor how to use that flat circular bit with merely a smooth top and a patterned underside - the illustration suggests it's for making cream but I thought the plastic blade was for that. So what's it for and how do you use it? Bosch - please address this problem soon and put a useful manual up on the web!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jezziboy Very Versatile, outstanding value.
I purchased the Bosch Food Processor after careful consideration and a sensible degree of comparative research. Given the multifunction role, the ability of the driving force, the 800watt motor, to robustly perform the variety of processes attributed to this processor, is in essence the heart of the matter. In this respect the processor performs beautifully. I would surmise that many aspects, likes and dislikes are very subjective, however given that I had done my homework, issues raised in review by those that had purchased this processor, did not concern me at all. For example : instructions inadequate, from a purely personal point of view I disagree, I found the Bosch processor simple to operate throughout all aspects of its claimed performance. To summarize : Well constructed, ergonomically, well thought out, unobtrusive, extremely versatile and user friendly and finally excellent value for money, eclipsing in my view far more expensive and less efficient processors.

I use my processor most days, it helps me to prepare our family meals. because it is compact I leave it in view on work surface. Its as good as any other food processor I have had. Haven't found any short falls. The instructions are a bit simple, but just work slowly through them and you will be ok.

More of 4.9 rather than 5 but I will come back to that 0.1. The feel of the product itself as I was getting it out of the box was enough to convince me that it was a genuine Bosch product. It was well packaged and everything slotted together with a healthy click or clunk. I was fascinated by idea of the apple juicer, so that was the first thing to try. It was superb, it got loads of juice out to start with and then I put it on the spin cycle were it rung out some more. The kids loved it and soon had to chop up some more apples. The basics work as expected and those that I have used are easy to clean (so far) . So back to the missing 0.1, the manual is very poor. It is thick and printed in many languages. It is about 180 pages, of which 8 are in English. In those 8 pages there are 11 "warning of injury" boxes. The diagrams are clear but this is not the type of manual you would want to keep around for 6 months. It could do with a thin glossy, or even a downloadable pdf. This is the reason I have come onto the site to see if I can find one.

Excellent machine. Everything you need all in one product and easy to use. Delivery was very quick indeed and like the idea of tracking the delivery so you can see how long it is going to take. Will buy from Asda Direct again.
