Rated 4 out of 5 by rw123 handy item.
a basic air compressor, very light, nice & small to store, does exactly what is required, puts air into tyre, easy to read tyre pressure dial. An item you may not use very often, but if you have a flat tyre you can get some air into it to finish your journey and change wheel later if more convenient, I had a flat the other day spent twenty minutes changing wheel on side of road, got dirty, was late for appointment, after putting air in flat it stayed up! was not a puncture, just valve not sealing, so did not have a puncture so therefore if I had had this compressor then I would only have had to pump tyre up not change wheel!!

Cheap as the proverbial bag of chips but does what it says, it puts air into items that need air putting in to.
It may be a bit slower and noisier that items 3 times it price but it works more than well and its small, so when storing, fits into places that the bigger more expensive ones wouldn't.
Grab a bargain.

I've only tried this compressor once, but it seems to work well. I've only got a few gripes about it, but for the price I can't complain too much. It's quite noisy for such a small motor, the pressure gauge doesn't give you much confidence, but is more or less accurate, and there's no on/off switch - so it's on when you plug into the 12V socket. Having said that, there's a few plusses as well - it's small and convenient, and it works exactly as it should.

This is a good "back up" pump. I doubt it would last very long if you attempted to use it on a regular basis.
A few things worth pointing out:
The PSI gauge is totally inaccurate so ignore it.
Also don't have this pump running for longer than a few minutes. I ran it for 5 minutes and it died of exhaustion! Luckily ASDA replaced it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by crazyhaircut As yet unused !
I bought this for use in an emergency, and as I haven;t had one yet, I haven't used the compressor.
It looks similar to one I have used before, and it seems very good value for money.
I think the packaging could be better, as the box is falling apart, even though it has just been sitting in the boot of my car.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ScoobyM Flawed - not even worth the £5 I paid for it
I bought this mini air compressor to pump up our car tyres (being manufactured by Autocare suggested it would be fit for purpose) however I couldn't have been more disappointed with the product.
Firstly, there is no ON/OFF switch!! When it is plugged in, it pumps air. OK, if you have a car battery booster with a switched lighter socket to power it (which I have), but not much use if you need to plug it into the lighter socket in the car.
Also, whilst you may find a need to pump something up to 300psi of air pressure, the pressure dial is only marked in steps of 5psi (each roughly 1mm apart) which is no use whatsoever for car tyres which require specific pressures (usually somewhere between 25-35psi) or the tyres will wear unevenly. Our car needs 28psi on the back tyres and 32psi on the front ones and that kind of accuracy just isn't possible with this product.
Overall I would say that, whilst it is inexpensive, it is also cheap and you'll end up spending much more on replacing your tyres more frequently because of the uneven tyre wear caused by not having the correct pressures. Do yourself a favour and spend a little more getting an air compressor that can measure to an accuracy of 1psi. Who knows, it might even come with an ON/OFF switch.
On the bright side, Asda were brilliant and gave me a full refund in-store with no quibbles.
