Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good value! Very versatile Rice is perfect when you have decided on the formula. I use 1 part Rice to 3 parts water, find this works every time. Don’t forget to rinse the Rice and would advise a stir as the Rice thickens. Works well for pesters and the Rice pudding is to die for. Cook rice as normal then add milk (4 measures) and cook again add cinnamon, nutmeg or even marmalade as you taste dictates. Apple upside down sponge cake, my next adventure with this little gem is going to be Bread and Butter pudding. Experimenting is such good fun and whatever happens it’s so easy to clean afterwards. Have a good (cooking) day. 13 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent for the price Cooks enough for 4 good size helpings or 5 smaller. The instructions are pretty vague. Be careful on the rice to water ratio, the instructions don't make it clear how much to add. It might take you a couple of goes before you get it right. I found I needed more water than the book implied. I never add salt, the rice doesn't seem to need it cooked in this. Don't wash the rice in the inner pot as you will scratch the non-stick finish, use a bowl then tip it into the pot. Leave it on the "warm" setting after cooking for 10 mins, then the rice will be just right. DON'T use it for porridge, it boils out of the top! 16 June 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rice cooker I purchased this rice cooker for my 25year old nephew, as he was boiling rice, which once cooked went cold before we started eating, then to reheat in the microwave, wasn't great so I thought a nice house warming gift this rice cooker would make. This rice cooker is great it makes perfect rice every time. It will also keep the rice warm, no more reheating in the microwave or standing by the cooker waiting for rice to boil, pop the rice cooker on and watch the tv or read a book until you hear the ping. All done !! You can also use the inside of the rice cooker to serving dish. 08 December 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rice Cooker Bought this only a few hours ago and some different rice. To be on the safe side I adjusted the water amount and half expected some soggy rice but with some adjustment I would get the result I was looking for. With that in mind it was all down to the machines ability to cook the rice according the weight of the cooking pot. The first batch was 60g of rice and that boiled dry, the second batch was 250g and that just kept on boiling and never turned to the keep warm setting after 45min. I think this product is faulty and will be returning it. perhaps I am wrong but this does not work for me. 11 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best thing I've bought for my kitchen I've never been good at cooking rice and was always spending money on pre cooked microwave rice. I went to a friends house who had bought a rice cooker home from her parents in china and I couldn't believe how good the rice was, or that my friend was using it for authentic Chinese cooking. I straight away went online to buy one from Asda and I have used it several times a week since I picked it up. I even cook my own rice when I order takeaway to save me money! I've saved a lot of money since buying this! The rice cooker cooks the rice in 10 minutes then automatically switches to warm mode after which means you can walk away and leave it cooking. There is an easy measuring cup and marks on the bowl for water level per cup. It's couldn't be simpler and I really love mine! It's great that Asda do their own brand version too and it was great value for money. 03 February 2013

I WOULD RECOMMAND THIS RICE COOKER TO ANYONE. I HAVE TOLD MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ABOUT IT. ITS CERTAINLY A GOOD BUY FOR ME, ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY. 29 August 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Gadget We Own We are both disabled and our carer recommended a rice cooker for safety. It is the most amazing thing so easy and wonderful fluffy rice every time now in use daily. We received it the day after we ordered and it does exactly what we want it to do. Our advice if you are considering a purchase do it! You won't regret it. 08 November 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value for money The rice cooker is well made out of good quality materials; the non-stick lining to the vessel that holds the rice is a particularly good feature because rice always has a tendency to stick to the bottom. Using the cooker is very straightforward - though I found we needed to use slightly more water than the guide marks indicate. However this could have been because I was using rice which was rather old. The cooker is a convenient size for small households - and the glass top means you can easily see how close the rice is to being ready. 30 January 2013
