Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Iron Usually when I buy a new Iron I spend time looking round different shops lifting up irons to feel the weight, looking at the make and design. This time however I searched on the net and ended up on Asda's web site reading the reviews, when I came across this Iron I read 8 pages of reviews and there wasn't one bad comment, everyone was in favour of the iron, so I ordered one. I never used to like ironing but I have to say I actually enjoy it now, the iron is a pleasure to use, it is a little heavy but again that helps especially when you need to made creases, if you are after a new iron give to big named and expensive brands a wide berth and buy this one, you won't be disappointed. 19 May 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by An excellent choice Having persevered with a steam iron that shuddered across the ironing and made the task a chore, it has been a delight to use this iron which glides across every material with the minimum of effort. Pros: Easy to fill and clearly marked controls. The ceramic non-stick base allows effortless progress across all fabrics. Cons: (only if you're looking to iron for a living or are of a nervous disposition!) The power cable only 2m and is made of hard material which makes wrapping it up a bit niggly. When the iron is stood vertically it gives a great whoosh but this doesn't effect the overall performance. 12 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by 'Trial purchase' I normally buy brand names when purchasing electrical items, but thought I'd try this due to it's specification/price. Only had the iron for a couple of weeks and am pleased so far. It heats up rapidly and has quite a large capacity water tank. The mains cable is of a standard length, slightly longer would have been useful. It is quite bulky, which makes it good for larger items of ironing and it's not too unwieldy for shirts etc. If anything goes wrong in the next twelve months I know Asda won't quibble over their guarantee. 02 June 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best iron I've ever had Smart, lovely design, easy to hold with rubber handle. Not too heavy. Really pointy front that get right into pleats, especially on shirt cuffs. Ceramic soleplate glides effortlessly and doesn't get stuck or sticky on fabrics. Steam burst control unrivalled for folded and creased dry items. Did my duvet cover in half the time than my old one. Only downside, 2m cord - needs an extension lead, but I can live with it ! Amazing how such a small item can make such a big difference in your life....... I hate ironing !!!! 22 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Outstanding bit of kit! Being a single male, I have to do all the household chores myself (OK, stop that evil laughing in the back there!), so when my old iron decided that it was going to messily destroy everything it touched, it was time to replace it. The one I got, purely based on what I found on the shelves in Asda in Wallington, has proven to be a truly outstanding bit of kit. Heats up in no time flat, steams like a champion, and the creases it makes? My old training Sergeant would be seriously impressed! So if, like me (and most of the other reviewers too, by the look of it) you hate ironing, then go for this one - it may be cheap, but it'll be you that's cheerful afterwards! Does exactly what it says on the tin, and then some! 25 November 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great buy an excellent iron, and at this price it makes it all the better. The chord is plenty long enough and the wieght is set about right, being heavy enough to help with pressing clothes of all materials but not being too heavy for comfort in using. All in all a great buy. This iron definately compares favourably to more expensive products. 03 September 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by You get what you pay for. This is the second one I've had, lasts for a few months then starts tripping out all the electrics in my house when using the steam function, won't be buying another one that's for sure. 20 August 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by fantastic offer I bought this iron because it was cheap, it was to bridge gap before I could afford a decent one, but I have completely changed my mind, this iron is absolutely fab, it has a ceramic plate, the weight is perfect, Irons beautifully. I will recommend this iron to everyone. 03 July 2012
